Re: 1st Devy startup advice?
Depends on what kind of team you want. Ignoring the superflex aspect, I like guys like Barkley, Guice, and Chubb somewhere around 1.05 this year. So if you are drafting draft pick slots, the devy 1.01 should be around the rookie 1.05/1.06. If you actually draft the players then it is a different ballgame.
#1-12 Team .5 PPR TE Premium (20-max)
Winston, Wentz
Ingram, Jones, Dalvin Cook, Rawls, Smallwood, McGuire
Evans, Keenan, Parker, Corey Davis, Lockett, Ty Williams

#2-12 Team .5 PPR (25-max)
Rivers, Wilson
Gurley, JStew, West, Duke, Breida, Smallwood, Joe Williams
Nuk, Alshon, Sanders, Doctson, Crowder, Carroo, Carlos Henderson
Ertz, Kittle
#3 14-team PPR (27-max) Year 2
Rodgers, Bortles
McCoy, Howard, Chubb, Crowell, Cohen, D. Martin, McGuire, Joe Williams, Breida, West, Aaron Jones
Cooks, Alshon, MBryant, Britt, Boyd, Wright, Carroo, Chad Williams

Re: 1st Devy startup advice?
With superflex, QB's are going to be drafted high. I suggest you land 3 starting QB's, with two of them drafted in the first 4 rounds.
Besides that it's similar to most drafts: draft the best player available. Some people go into wanting to land picks for young players, while some go into it wanting to build a team that contend/challenge for a title that year.
With Superflex, devy, TE premium, there isn't a wrong way to go.
