With the 75th pick... after the commisioner had to tell Angelo he choose a player already taken...
Sam Young Tackle Notre Dame
O-line is the bears biggest weakness and Young is perfect Right Tackle for Bears. Big physical bruiser who can man the right side for Cutler. Bears will look at FS and DE in the next few rounds.
Mock Draft 2.0 - Picks Only (use other topic for discussion)
You can use the pic Bubba used with the last pick, #74, when he picked..... Mike Johnson!grimace wrote:Bears finally do the right thing and pick a O-Line man with their first pick in the draft
Mike Johnson OL Alabama
(No picture, because I can't find one)
Bears need O-Line, DE and Safety the most and take the highest guy on their board. Top 3 guard can step in right away at either side, Bears also might take the tackle from Notredame (can't remember his name) but Johnson is a better pick here.
ah, it was good for a late-night laugh anyway!grimace wrote:With the 75th pick... after the commisioner had to tell Angelo he choose a player already taken...

With the 77th pick, the Tennessee Titans select Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, CB, Indiana(PA).
Titans need help in the secondary, even after using two mid-round picks last year but more importantly the return game is anemic. Something like a poor man's Leodis McKelvin, Owusu-Ansah should be able to come right in and provide a spark on returns while possessing the tools to develop into a top-flight corner. He's a medical concern as he's missed the all-star game season with a shoulder injury but he'll be at the combine so he can check out physically.

With the 78th pick in the 2010 NFL draft the Carolina Panthers select Alex Carrington, DE, Arkansas State
I'll admit this pick might be too early with the amount of talent on the board yet, but Carolina needs to replace Julius Peppers somehow. Finding a replacement will be a priority for Panther brass. Carrington has the speed, size and athleticism to be a Pro Bowl play maker at the next level. Concerns over the level of competition were erased with his play during Sr. Bowl week. A good combine showing could justify a mid to late 3rd round investment.
Still raw, he will need to improve his pass rushing skills.
Other players considered: Tony Pike, Aaron Hernandez, Jimmy Graham, Austen Lane, Arthur Jones and Tyson Alualu

With the 79th pick the San Francisco 49ers select WR Andre Roberts Citadel
Despite the emergence of Crabtree and Morgan the WR corp is in need of more playmakers with impending Free Agents that maybe released. After impressing at the Senior Bowl Roberts draft stock is on the rise and his shiftiness would be well suited to filling the slot recievers role

with the 80th pick the Broncos select....
Jevan Snead: QB, Ole Miss
I really don't see Orton as the answer and McDaniels gets a youngster with alot of upside. He'll have to work on his game, but he'll have time to develop behind Orton who is a good cerebral QB. McDaniels can "mold" his QB of the future. The Broncos are pleased to take a shot here as they feel they've filled major needs at linebacker, Oline, and QB in the first 3 rds.
Other positions considered. O-line, TE

with the 81st pick the Houston Texans select:
Chris Cook, CB, Virginia
It has been reported that the Texans will let Dunta Robinson leave in free-agency which creates a dire need of starter-capable cornerback talent. Cook is a big corner who played extensively over multiple college seasons that should be able to contribute immediately and that's a good thing. The Texans will need him to.

with the 83rd selection the atlanta falcons select : Rashad Jones Safety UGA
UGA has a rep of putting out great tackling safety's ... jones was a former 5star recruit coming out of highschool, and upped his play this season to enter the draft... the falcons need desperate help in their secondary, but a talent like jones is too good to passup in the 3rd...
