With the 1.1, the St. Louis Rams select:

DT Ndamukong Suh, Nebraska

As much as the Rams have desperately needed a QB for some time, they have to get a can't miss prospect at the #1 and QB is always far from a sure bet. You're selecting there for a reason and mistakes do nothing but dig a bad franchise into a deeper hole. Suh is the best talent coming out and will be selected #1 overall to be a rock in the middle of the defensive front.

Others considered: QB Sam Bradford, Oklahoma
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

With the 2nd pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Detroit Lions select:

Russell Okung,OT,Oklahoma State

There are 72 million reasons for this pick.. and a young QB who has the whole franchise on his shoulders.
If Stafford gets beat up to much in the future.. they´re jeopardizing his career and the next decade of their own franchise.

24 roster spots - 1QB,2RB,3WR,1TE,1Flex

QB: Herbert,Minshew
RB: Breece,Walker,Taylor,BRobinson,Allgeier,Spiller
WR:Jefferson,Lamb,DJMoore,QJohnston,Jameson,MMims, T.Marshall,Shakir,Gallup

With the 3rd pick in the NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida.

Image

This pick may surprise some people and the Bucs will certainly take a look at Berry, but they need a pass rush once more to get the defense anywhere close to where it was before. He is flying up draft boards right now....

With the 4th pick the Washington Redskins select Sam Bradford QB OKlahoma
Image

This guy will be a good pro and a new start for the Washington Redskins. Returning healthy will not intrigue Wsh enoough. They will see the value that is there WHEN they see he is healthy and ready to go and will make this guy their 1st selection under Mike Shanahan.

With the 4th pick in the NFL Draft the Kansas City Chiefs select Eric Berry S Tennessee

Image

I could go a number of directions with this pick. I think it is too early to take an available O-lineman at this point so that sends me to the defensive side of the ball. I have Berry as the highest rated player available. Ideally if Suh is off the board I would like Okung to slip but I can't see him getting by Washington. McCoy would be great here but having spent two picks in a row on the d-line, I think it is more likely they address their DB situation. I have seen some mocks give them McClain as well and I think that is crap. There is zero chance of that happening IMO. Adding Eric Berry gives them a great playmaker on the defensive side of the ball. With two second rounders they have flexibility going forward.

Other options: Joe Haden, Gerald McCoy, Anthony Davis

With the 6th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft the Seattle Seahawks select Gerald McCoy, DT, University of Oklahoma

Image

Amazed that McCoy dropped to 6, the Seahawks politely listen to trade offers before rushing the selection card to the podium. Listed as the top prospect in this draft by some draft pundits, McCoy is a prototypical 4-3 rush DT and a great addition to the Seahawk defense. McCoy has nice quickness off the snap, excellent hand and foot work, fights off double teams well and sneaky closing speed. He'll definitely clog holes and take up blockers, which will allow the talented group of LBs behind him to make quick work of oncoming RBs. He should be good for 6 sacks a year but his biggest asset to this defense is his ability to disrupt plays.

Other players considered: Morgan, Clausen, Haden and Bryant

With the 7th pick in the NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select

Joe Haden - CB - Florida

The Browns have plenty of weaknesses, with one of the biggest being defensive secondary, Joe Haden serves as the premier shutdown corner in this year's draft. The impact a shutdown corner has these days doesn't go unnoticed with as dominant as someone like Darelle Revis has become for the Jets, routinely being able to shut down big time receivers around the league. The Browns can only hope that Haden is in the similar mold to Revis, as he should immediately strengthen the secondary and now Browns CB Eric Wright (who I think is pretty good, but not as a CB1) can now play CB 2 for the Browns, and other garbage corners like Brandon McDonald can thankfully sit on the bench for the Browns now

With the 8th pick in the NFL Draft the Oakland Raiders select Anthony Davis OT Rutgers

Image

I wanted to bring this in a different direction because Al Davis never does the logical thing. I kept thinking a physical freak like Taylor Mays or Carlos Dunlap may be the direction to go. If Jason Pierre-Paul hadn't been taken by Tampa Bay he would be my pick here. I think he is the type of physical speciman Al Davis would go for. I felt like Mays or Dunlap were too much of a reach and not enough of a need. The fact is, this is the hardest team to mock for because of Al. It comes down to the fact that this team had just 485 pass attempts this last year (26th in the league) and gave up 51 sacks (3rd highest). They need to protect their QB even if it ends up being JaMarcus Russell.

Other options: Bruce Campbell, Trent Williams, Bryan Bulaga, Derrick Morgan, Taylor Mays, Carlos Dunlap

With the 9th pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame.

Image

The Bills have to get a franchise QB and they fully believe Clausen can be just that. This team has some major needs, especially on the line, but I see this being the pick.

Postby Risky bidness » Fri Feb 12, 2010 1:14 pm

Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama

Looks like Marshall is making nice. The Broncos are in need of a linebacker and Rolando is the guy here for them.

Jacksonville Jaguars Pick 11

Postby BubbaBurst » Fri Feb 12, 2010 1:33 pm

With the 11th pick the Jags do not, i repeat do not take Tim Tebow. They add the pass rush they really really need by seleceting:

Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech

He had a great year. He's big, He's fast and he will vastly improve the Jags pass rush right away. To beat Peyton you need to get to him without having to blitz.
DLF I Romo, Mathews, DMC, Murray, AJohnson, Welker, Wayne, Nelson, Finley
DLF II Peyton, McCoy, Ballard, DJackson, VJackson, DMoore, Welker, Gronk
DLF R Cam, AP, Foster, RWilliams, Nicks, SSmith, Floyd, Hill, Gresham, Keller
DLF U Eli, DMC, CJ2k, Sproles, Ballard, AJ Green, VJackson, Graham, Gresham

With the 12th pick in the NFL draft the Miami Dolphins select Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State

Image

I really didn't want to go this direction here. I think the Dolphins are solid at O-line and there running game has been very good. The passing game needs a lift with a true #1. Once again I expected Bryant to be gone but with WR as a need and him on the board it is a good fit. I was looking at pass rushers here as well, especially with Joey Porter trying to get out of town.

Other options: Sergio Kindle, Dan Williams, Carlos Dunlap, CJ Spiller

WIth the 13th pick of the 2010 NFL draft the San Francisco 49ers selects

CJ Spiller RB Clemson

Image

With two picks in the first round I thought the 49ers could afford to take one of the most skilled offensive talents on the board and fill positions of possible higher need later in the deep draft. The 49ers can line him up anywhere to cause mis matches. He will help out in the return game and also give Gore a break occasionally to.

Others considered would have been Bryant if he had got to me, Trent Williams OT, Bryan Baluga OT, and Earl Thomas S. There wasnt a CB worthy of consideration here.
QB, RB, WR, WR, RB/WR/TE, TE, K, DB, DB, DL, DL, LB, LB

QB: R Wilson,
RB: Elliott, Gordon, K Johnson, R Penny, Guice, I Smith
WR: Hopkins, Kupp, M Williams, MVS, Bisi Johnson, Butler, V Jefferson, Claypool
TE: Kittle, Graham, Oliver, Bryant (Cle)
K: Crosby, Rohrwasser
DB: Bates, Rapp, Flowers, Adderley

With their 2nd pick in the first round...

Postby rkrazy » Sat Feb 13, 2010 1:10 am

With the 14th pick in the 2010 NFL draft the Seattle Seahawks select Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa

Image

Football is won, and lost, in the trenches. The Seahawks narrowly missed out on Bradford and Spiller. Moving onto the next position of need, LT. Seahawk brass grab the best available tackle on the board that fits into their ZBS. Bulaga has great footwork, long arms and uses his leverage well. Bulaga's familiarity with zone blocking is a natural fit for the Hawks. Needs to improve strength.

Other players considered: None, but for the sake of discussion Dwyer and Campbell for a millisecond
