February Rookie Mock Draft (With Landing Spots)

Postby Cameron Giles » Sun Feb 07, 2016 12:07 pm

Let's see how situation and draft grade plays a part in your scouting. I simulated these with a mock draft website. The landing spots might not all make sense, but that's what you should expect with the chances of BPA. I also included a few notable undrafted players, if you're willing to be ballsy.

Edit: Forgot this was in the Mock Drafts I'll start with.

1.01 Treadwell

I'm going to stick to QBs, because that's the group I've followed and watched plenty of film on.

I have Wentz/Goff above Lynch so I'd obviously like those two with Philly or LA over Lynch. But Lynch is a solid third. Cook should certainly be the fourth QB off the board in this scenario, but I'd let someone else draft him. Going to have to beat out Osweiler just to get a shot, and then he has to succeed, hold onto the job. Too much risk, for me to take.

I like Hackenberg as a sleeper/flyer in AZ. Get him back to a pro style offense and let him sit a year behind Palmer. I like that situation a lot. Dak's worth a flyer as well. The rest of the QBs are undraftable, IMO.

1.03: Michael Thomas

I'll stick with my board here. Boyd landing in San Francisco makes it very tempting to go with him, but I like Thomas polish as a WR and growing chemistry with Goff would be nice.

1.04 Devontae Booker
Denver and Kubiak would be an outstanding fit. Hope Cooper is around early 2nd in my draft if he really lands in Atl.

Based on this draft, I'd say the top 11 are all solid picks, things start to get a little more sketchy following that.

1.12 Braxton

He, Gordon, Banidge and Benjamin would give Lynch some solid targets. New offense should bring a better run presence too. I think this would be a really interesting offense to watch next year.
