Free Entry Salary Cap/Keeper League @ Routetree.com

Postby will99 » Wed Aug 28, 2013 9:03 am

I am looking for players for a salary cap keeper league at Routetree.com, a new league management website with emphasis on dynasty and salary features. The site is fully functioning but is in its first/beta year and rapidly implementing new features. We are looking for experienced dynasty/keeper players to play in a beta league and provide detailed feedback. The site will pay a $10 entry fee for each team, for each of 2 seasons, where the season winner takes 1/3 of each yearly pot, and the team with the best record over a two year span takes the rest. The goal for this test is the best 2 year dynasty (or half dynasty as the case may be).

Here are the rules:

Auction draft Tuesday 9/3 starting at 6:00 PDT/9EST (subject to change if everyone agrees). It's going to be a relatively fast auction, where 2 or 3 players are auctioned at once and I hope it will be completed in less than 2 hours. I'm looking for 10-12 teams, but would consider different numbers.

Rosters:
2 QB
1 RB
1 RB/WR
3 WR
1 WR/TE
1 TE
1 Team D
IR: 2 available slots.
Total roster limit: 18

Head-to-head, 2 games per week.
Top 4 teams make playoffs, seeded (best record, total pts tiebreaker). Playoff rounds are 2 weeks each, beginning in week 13 (regular season standings, then points scored are tiebreakers).

Scoring is relatively standard: Rush/Rec TDs 6; Pass TDs 4; Rush/Rec Yd .1; Pass Yd 1pt/25 yds; PPR .5; 40 yard + play 2; 2 pt conv 2; Int -1; Fumble -1; Team Def [Sack 1; Fumble Recovery 1; Forced Fumble 1; Int 2; Def TD 3; Safety 2; Def Pts Against score between -2 (42+) and 10 (0), with ranges in between].

Waiver system: Online free agent auctions every week, Wednesday at 6:30 PDT (time subject to change with league input. You will be able to bid in advance and place "max bids").

Salary caps will be 100. Player contracts are 50% guaranteed so if you drop a player, you are still responsible for 50% of his contract. You can keep up to 6 players by signing them to multi-year contracts of up to 5 years. The price to sign a player is determined by his signing price, plus 10% inflation each year. During the season, the price to sign a player could change based on a player's "fair market value." The site automatically calculates this by assuming a player performing well can demand a salary comparable higher paid players discounted by the percentage of the season played. So if you have the #2 ranked QB after 4 weeks, that QB will demand a higher salary that is comparable to the second highest paid player at his position, only discounted by a significant percentage because there hasn't been that much of the season played. It's a great system and one of the things we want input on. Trading of cash and contract obligations is allowed.

In return for the entry fee, we ask for feedback from the players, such as pointing out bugs, providing advice and comments on features and design and anything else to help us better the game. We'll probably have a quick survey or two. If you like it, we ask that you spread the word!

Reply to this post with your email address or email will@routetree.com if you are interested in playing or if you have any questions.
