Hey everyone -
I'm gauging interest on this league concept to see if I'm crazy or if people would be interested in trying it out. The league would be all orphans. The top 216 non-rookie players based on DLF ADP would be randomly assigned to 12 teams (18 per team) instead of a start up draft. Owners will be randomly assigned to teams and can decide if they are a contender or rebuilding. Blind waivers (FAAB) would fill out the remaining roster spots (28 total) so there is a little auction-feel as well. 2020 rookie draft picks will be assigned according to the trade value of each teams first 18 players, based on DLF Trade Analyzer values. Team with the lowest "value" gets 1.01 and so forth with the "most valuable" team having the 1.12.
Basics:

1.0 PPR, 1.75 TE Premium (ala Trade Addicts leagues)
starting lineup: 1QB, 1SF, 1RB, 1WR, 1TE, 5 flex
28 roster spots, 4 taxi, 3 IR
$50 buy in at start up covers 2020 & 2021, $25/year thereafter
Thoughts? Is this ridiculous? I always feel like there is a lull after a start up where everyone is trying to contend and no one has major roster needs. The goal is to get a lot of trades going out right after rosters are assigned to address needs, contend, grab picks, etc.
