As with any contract/cap league, you must read the rules to get a good picture. I am certainly able to answer any questions for you. This is going to be the 6th year of the league and the contract max is 5 years...so all the guys who were bought in the inaugural startup auction and given the max years are now expiring, which is setting up the largest FA period in league history.

The league has a $400 cap that is hard from September-April. Once that window closes, the cap moves up 20% to $480 to help with offseason moves.

The open roster does not have much to it but Marquise Brown at $10 and Fant at $13. But it has $352/$400 in cap, which is gigantic. And this is the year for it as the league has the likes of Russell Wilson, Davante Adams, Mike Evans, Keenan Allen, Juju Smith, DeAndre Hopkins, Amari Cooper, Odell Beckham Jr, Melvin Gordon, Tyler Lockett, Lev Bell, Jarvis Landry, Zach Ertz, Drew Brees, Devante Parker, Ryan Tannehill, Tom Brady, AJ Green, Todd Gurley, Tyler Boyd, TY Hilton, Jimmy Garappolo, Derek Carr and many more.

However, each franchise can choose to franchise tag 1 player for a huge price and can do a restricted free agency with 1 player also. So all those names will not be free frange, but many can and will be.

Players that eligible for tagging from this roster: Davante Adams, Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, Mike Evans, Robby Anderson. So you could have tons of cap and still ink up 2 of those via franchise tag and restricted free agency.
