Forum SLOW Performance

Postby skip » Tue Oct 31, 2017 11:54 am

I can't imagine I'm the only one experiencing this today. I've accessed the forums today from my mobile device (Verizon) as well as my laptop both on a wired and wireless network and everything is running very, very slow today. Zero issues with other web sitres.

yep, running on desktop and every post I make just about crashes the page... end up with either a double post or a 504 timed out error

Yep, looks like there was a dos attack on the server. Blocked. Hopefully that sticks. Thanks again for letting us know!

Def runner smooth again but what does a dos attack mean? As in, what is the overall intent of the attack? Just curious.

Oh, sorry. Yeah, a denial of service attack. A system somewhere in Wisconsin was hammering away at the site.

Thanks skip! Coincidence this happens when Ajayi is traded? Perhaps someone didn't want their leaguemates to come here for advice on a hot Ajayi trade!

I thought I was going crazy, I reset everything on my iPad and nothing helped. Everything is back to normal, thanks for your timely response!

I've been experiencing performance issues again the last couple of days. I'm not sure if the site is under a similar attack or if this is related to the advertising changes that were made this week but things have definitely slowed down.

Skip, are you still experiencing this? We've removed the ad's. I'm not seeing any performance issues from a couple different systems and locations on my end. Let me know. Thanks!
