Re: Who are your impact rookies for 2020?

If he is healthy all year, I like Shenault to make a serious splash. Looks to me like a more flexible, more athletic Deebo.

Re: Who is this year’s DJ Chark?

There's more than a degree of truth to the post above. There is an important caveat though. If the Ravens are throwing the ball against loaded boxes and few DBs because teams sell out to stop the run, then they will be perfectly happy to take those odds. If teams can shut down their run game without...

Re: Names we aren't talking about

I'd add Claypool to the list. If he plays as a WR, I'd still be interested with his draft stock and measurables. If they bulk him up to a move TE though, yes please.

Re: Official/Final 2020 Rookie RB Ranks

Tough one to parse, but let's have a go. Mike went too far with the bravado and is now trying to tone it down as he is no longer just a forum writer, but a DLF writer. Some posters are still irritated with his refusal to accept that he, like everyone else, is fallible. None of this would amount to m...

Re: Swift vs Dobbins

People seem to want to have it both ways with Detroit. Kerryon's value was in the tank because he was an injury bust and would never stay healthy. Now Swift's value is dropping because Kerryon is there. I prefer to draft the player, not the landing spot because the league changes so fast, but I'm re...

Re: Swift vs Dobbins

Some of you seem to be remembering only the Matt Stafford deprived Lions of last year. That offense is no joke when he's healthy. Stafford used to absolutely pepper Theo Riddick with targets and QB tendency to throw to backs is pretty stable. If you put aside the notion of a curse, you're looking at...

Re: Swift vs Dobbins

Ridiculous that we get to argue over backs this good at the 3, 4, or even 5 spot though. I have Swift a fraction higher, but would be delighted to get Dobbins if he's gone.

Re: Swift vs Dobbins

Have you watched Swift and Dobbins in the passing game? One of them looks smooth, fluid and natural catching the ball. It isn't Dobbins.

Re: Swift vs Dobbins

I think the talent is about equal in the running game. I'm not sure even Dobbins himself would claim to be on Swift's level in the passing game. The Lions have historically sucked and Patricia is an bleep. Those are worries. They have an excellent Qb and a more than decent line though and either the...

Re: Swift vs Dobbins

I have been taking Swift over Dobbins, but in every other draft I have been in, Dobbins has gone before Swift. It's close and I think the reality that one franchise is elite and the other is a dumpster fire is hard to ignore. I just prefer Swift as a player as I think his passing game ceiling is muc...

Re: Which Players Become Buy Low Candidates?

The strange thing about the Colts' usage of Mack is that his best asset coming into the league was his work as a pass-catcher. They barely thew him a ball last year. Now the Colts may well just give those balls to Hines again, but they were open about being too predictable according to which RB was ...

Re: 2020 Rookie Synopsis - The Wide Receivers

Great write-ups. The only thing I'd mention is that evaluating college WRs vs press now is a little like evaluating college backs in pass pro. If they can't handle it in the NFL then they won't play, but they do it so rarely that it's often misleading to ding them for it.

Can we get thoughts on a value for Jones? Would people buy/sell him for 1.08?

Re: With Anderson in CAR are we worried about DJM?

I think this is a push for DJM. I also think it might help Samuel. He was badly miscast as a deep threat last year. He isn't very good at ball tracking or at contested catches. He is potentially much better suited as a gadget player/space player. Brady's offense should be creative and he definitely ...
