Re: Notable Cuts

Report comes from Jay Glazer, claiming Seattle and Houston have agreed upon 'parameters'. I really hope Houston is getting O-line help. Looked a bit at Seattle's current defensive personnel, wondering how it'd look with Clowney on board. Oof. A lot riding on a couple of fading 30 year olds (Ansah, W...

Re: Notable Cuts

I'm just wondering if McCoy is still actually any good as a leadback. Plenty of weeks last year in which he was outperformed running behind the same O-line by the humble likes of Marcus Murphy and (old) Chris Ivory. Could be that NFL teams only view McCoy as a third-down back now (he still appears t...

Re: Notable Cuts

I'm guessing McCoy will clear waivers, first. Then McCoy himself will decide where he goes.

Re: Devine Ozigbo rumored to have made the Saints Roster

You haven't looked at the player at all if you think he actually runs a 4.7 -- he full field outsprinted pursuing Big 10 DBs several times last year... those runs are how he averaged 7 ypc. True 4.7 runners get caught from behind by Power 5 conference players. And surprising lateral quickness for hi...

This 'baseline regression' analytic has been vogue this off-season.

Re: Devine Ozigbo rumored to have made the Saints Roster

Washington didn't dress last night, so unless he's injured, yeah, he's currently the #3.

Edit: heard vaguely that Washington may be in the concussion protocol

I have Ozigbo rostered at the very end of my bench, but right now he probably only deserves to be watch-listed rather than rostered by us.

Re: Marquise Brown is the best value in the draft

I'm not exactly sure what everyone is so afraid of. Baltimore and Lamar's arm I guess Well, there's also the issue that the list of exceptional ~165lbs wide-receivers in modern NFL history is vanishingly small. And this particular iteration didn't do anything throughout OTAs / minicamp / TC / prese...

Re: Devine Ozigbo rumored to have made the Saints Roster

Ozigbo was my favorite pre NFL draft sleeper RB from this class, although him going undrafted threw cold water on my optimism.

Re: Marquise Brown is the best value in the draft

My take has been from the start Brown will shine. He is a next level athlete with incredible WR skill sets. Expect him to get targets early and often. Brown is a day one starter. He dressed for the fourth preseason week, played on special-teams, muffed twice. Points to him riding pine to start the ...

Re: RBBC in Kansas City

Spencer Ware got hurt. Then he got healthy again, and was at first a healthy scratch, then he was activated and got 1 or 2 touches while Damien bellcowed. I've mentioned this like a half a dozen times now on these forums. Maybe not in this thread, but in the other one. So many of y'all didn't pay a...

Re: RBBC in Kansas City

he's never beat anybody for the starting job before (still hasn't) Bizarre statement. Last year, Spencer Ware, Darrel Williams, Charcandrick West. This year, Carlos Hyde, Darrel Williams, Darwin Thompson. How in your mind have you contorted reality to argue that Damien Williams rose up to KC's firs...

I think Thomas is an okay stash. But right now, I don't think he has fantasy difference-making upside. The tape shows me most safeties sticking to him in man-coverage.

Re: Houston running backs.

Current cap space is beside the point. Teams and team ownership don't want to trade assets to acquire a backup WR saddled with a contract demanding the better part of 20 million this season and next. Teams spending money in that fashion are invariably running themselves into the ground. If Stills is...

Re: Let's talk... Hakeem Butler

White's injuries were debilitating long-term though and have sapped his explosiveness to the point where he just can't play. How do you figure this? He's had bone fractures, not muscle/ligament damage. White is failing as a pro because he has no versatility and not enough craft. The lesson with Kev...
