I like him a lot, but that lack of an extra gear will hurt his value. He sure fights for yards, though. Great motor.JMoNeY24 wrote:I'm glad people aren't viewing Cobb highly at all. I could get him on the cheap. He has as good of vision as any back in this class, just lacks breakaway speed.

Re: Beyond Gordon and Gurley - who's your rookie RB of choic
Finding myself drawn to Javorius...great in the passing game, solid runner, played in a pro-style system at USC. Could be productive 3 down back if he lands in the right spot. Lets all be honest. We project based purely on talent. But, much of value will hinge on landing spot and opportunity to sepa...

Anyone done an auction rookie draft?
EDIT - bumping this to see if anyone has done one yet, and what values were attached to the top rookie talents relative to the total money pool available. Any help is assessing their value is much appreciated! Any advice? Most talk around here is regarding picks, but in my league is monetary value. ...

Re: Pre-Combine RB Board
Great thread, glad to see it! One thing I'd like to know (I'm Canadian and as a result I don't get the same volume of US college coverage here) is why you value a certain RB above another. For instance, both DynoScout and RightlegTucker rate Yeldon highly...why is that? What does he bring to the tab...

And what do you see the drop off from the big two? A huge gap? Close enough that any of tier II will make you a happy owner?HawkeyeState wrote:I think it's a big second tier right now with Duke Johnson, Tevin Coleman, Abdullah, and Ajayi.

Re: Duron Carter to Colts -- his value change and Moncreif's
Yes. A lot of his coaches have praised his work ethic since joining the CFL, which is why I'm high on him. While it's difficult for CFL WRs to transition to the NFL due to the narrower field and press coverage, I think he has the physical talent to overcome those obstacles. Montreal runs a no-bulls...

Beyond Gordon and Gurley - who's your rookie RB of choice?
The Gurley/MGIII debate is a fun one (I've got the most auction dollars in my redraft, so I can nab one, and I'm certainly conflicted) - it's great to have two players with that much talent creating that much discussion. It's what makes fantasy football a blast. But who's your favourite of the rest ...

Re: Dez Bryant for 3 2015 Firsts
Dude, if you get that deal (with or without Moncrief added) you should be charged with larceny. There are number of very good WR's in the draft, but none of them are Dez.

Re: Duron Carter to Colts -- his value change and Moncreif's
All of the rookie wr's breaking out last year and this guy couldn't get on the field more because of Hakeem Nicks? You do realize that last year was a huge outlier for rookie WR production? What happened with OBJ, Evans et al wasn't normal...what is normal is for WR's to take a season or two to dev...

Re: Duron Carter to Colts -- his value change and Moncreif's
Just looking into it, and they don't even have the option year window (basically could leave for 3rd year of 3 year deal) anymore. Players can only jump to the NFL at the end of their contract with the CFL's new CBA. Yes. So the reason he didn't get a look last year is because he was contractually ...

Re: Duron Carter to Colts -- his value change and Moncreif's
I wasn't that impressed with the tape that Moncrief produced last year, and this signing is a (small) indicator that the Colts don't necessarily see Moncrief as a sure-fire starter to open up the 2015 starter Maybe, but I think it's just as likely that the Colts see Wayne and Nicks gone or limited ...

Re: Duron Carter to Colts -- his value change and Moncreif's
I saw him a lot (he played in the same division as the Argonauts) and he had two very good seasons. He's long and showed a real ability to go get the ball. But when you've watched as much CFL football as I have, you get a sense (not always right, but a sense) of which guys are going to thrive in the...

Re: Gordon or Gurley?
All I know is that my rookie draft is auction, and while I love what I've seen of Gordon, I'm thinking Gurley might just be a relative bargain. I could see landing Gurley and Coleman/Duke (or Ajayi, Abdullah or Javorius) for the price of MGIII.

Re: Dontrelle Inman
Anyone rostering this guy for next year? I'm considering taking a flyer on him with my last roster spot. If you do some research he has produced in the CFL for two years as well as last week for San Diego when given the opportunity. Could he be a starter next year opposte Allen? Why not I say. Love...
