Re: Rookie Safties and their impact this year and long term

1. Cyprien - Easily number one. Will play SS in a porous defense with a shabby offense = plenty of opportunities. Should also be very productive in the long haul, as the Jaguars are rebuilding. 2. Elam - Close second. Won't spend as much time on the field as Cyprien, but will still get plenty of opp...

Re: Clowney Buzz

I'm not touching any IDP in the top 5 of a rookie draft, if I ever have a pick in that range. 6-10 only if I'm really sold on him (ignoring the buzz) and he lands in a ideal situation. After that, if the IDP is the BPA, why not.

Re: July Rookie Mock

Since this seems to be going nowhere, hope you don't mind if I'm calling the last pick to finish this. Round Four RonW15 - Charles Johnson - WR, Packers 2 -- MucBuc - Jordan Reed - TE, Redskins 3 -- bostonteparty - Matt Barkley - QB, Eagles 4 -- dallasn1213 (Jules) - Kenny Stills - WR, Saints 5 -- h...

Re: Final Keeper: Jordan Cameron (TE) or Bruce Carter (LB)?

Cameron for me, who has serious breakout potential this season, and I'll also always take IOP over IDP unless there's a significant drop in value. Carter also already missed 11 games due to injury over the past 2 years.

Re: Players falling in rookie drafts

I saw Manuel, Geno (both to teams that needed any QB badly) and Stacy go in the first round instead.

Re: Players falling in rookie drafts

I saw Patterson drop to 2.01 and grabbed Allen at 2.07 recently. There's definitely some concerns about his knee, but also reports that he was able to participate in all the drills at the final OTAs. And even if he misses some time, I still love the long-term outlook. Also interesting to note that s...

Re: 32 team help

Agree with chad, this would purely be a win-now move if your team is already very good. First-rounders are very difficult to acquire in 32-teamers, as are young productive receivers and productive IDPs. Thus, you should only do that if your team is already good enough to compete against the best tea...

Re: Da'rick Rogers or Stedman Bailey

I agree with Seventy5. There's only 2 really talented WRs in BUF to compete against (Woods and Stevie), and no additional receiving threat at TE. Rogers is better than Goodwin, Graham etc.

I like Baileys upside, but impossible to tell how the WR depth chart and reception distribution will look like.

Thanks to all participants! I'm a bit surprised that Ogletree and Jordan didn't receive more votes.

Re: Arthur Brown is he best Lb in draft

Unless you're totally desperate, or there's a once-in-a-decade-prospect, no IDP (including Brown) is worth a top ten pick. If you can't find a trade partner before the draft, you can pick the best offensive player and trade him after the draft for Brown +.

Re: Tannehill v 2013 rookie class

I'd draft him ahead of Manuel, who usually goes in the early-mid second round. So late first seems about right. He should be available there, cause some people put too much stock in first-year production and rather draft their shiny new rookie toy who will surely be a Pro Bowler as a rookie.

Re: Luck or Wilson

In the end, I'd rather have Luck. His numbers (completion percentage, for example) from last year don't tell the whole story. He's the best QB from the last 5+ years, and he's going to prove it. That said, I like Wilson quite a bit, and I'd gladly part with Luck for Wilson + multiple first-round ro...

Re: Poll: Which rookie IDP?

Brown will be off the board, thus he's not included. I also like Ansah's upside, but his floor and age worry me a bit. He's still very raw, and probably won't hit his stride before his age-26 season.

Poll: Which rookie IDP?

Got a draft coming up this weekend, and since I don't have an early pick, I'm targetting some IDPs with my first pick. I figure that the names mentioned will still be on the board when I pick. Which ones would be your BPAs, if you had no pressing need? You may select up to two. Scoring is big-play h...
