Expected longevity and demonstrated production are relatively more valuable in deeper leagues. Elite production and upside are relatively less valuable.

The real question is "how much?" To answer that, you need to do some serious thinking about positional baselines. Start here maybe.

So history tells us 1-2 more seasons of top 12 production, maybe three...if we ignore the higher propensity he has (over these peers) to injure his foot. Yes, but that's after this season. Top 24 production isn't bad, though. He may sit there for a couple more years after dropping out of the top 12...

When three WRs and a TE from the same team are going in the first five rounds of dynasty startups, I figure the QB is pegged as a future hall of famer. Does Kirk Cousins strike you as a future hall of famer?
