In this scenario, Bryce Love would of still been in the draft with Jacobs and Sanders, not Saquon. And yes, he would of been the 1.01 over them.

Re: 2021 Draft Pick Valuation - Discounted or Pumped Up?

I just had another thought: If the top-end players declare but others return to college (like @FantasyFreak posited), then first-round picks will INCREASE in value. There will always be top-end (i.e, first-round) talent. But, if there is a huge drop-off after (i.e., second-round and later), then th...

Re: 2021 Draft Pick Valuation - Discounted or Pumped Up?

I guess I would need examples of top talents who could be overlooked and fall to the 2nd. ... Without Justyn Ross, those are the notable players. To me, it just seems like if there is a clear-cut top talent, who can become great value in the 2nd, then that player will inevitably end up being in the...

Re: 2021 Draft Pick Valuation - Discounted or Pumped Up?

There might not even be a 2020/21 college season, or at best it'll be a non-traditional one. Scouting could be all over the place...even more than normal. This could push talent that would of been in the 1st down to the 2nd simply due to the lack of tape on certain prospects - increasing the value ...

Re: 2021 Draft Pick Valuation - Discounted or Pumped Up?

For example, I was offered four (mid to late) 2021 1sts for Adams. I declined, but had this exact same trade been offered to me last offseason, I prob would have taken it, because everyone “knew” that the 2020 class looked special, and there was hype. So either the prospects would be tantalizing, or...

Re: 2021 Draft Pick Valuation - Discounted or Pumped Up?

I guess I feel like buying at a depressed price is just buying at their true value (if that makes sense). I don’t know that it would actually be buying low, or allowing you to potentially increase your return on investment. I agree that most people will likely be looking at the 2021 class and valuin...

Re: What's DK's value

DK is right behind CEH and Taylor for me. In weaker classes he could be worth the 1.01 - it you're thinking number of picks, he'd be worth at least two later 1sts, maybe even three depending what the picks were and who was left.

Re: 2021 Draft Pick Valuation - Discounted or Pumped Up?

If CFB isnt played theres going to be a lot more uncertainty in the draft which should devalue 1sts and bump up later rounds as top tier talent could fall more than usual. The lack of playing time could also cause some talented players to stay for another year which could hurt the overall class tal...

2021 Draft Pick Valuation - Discounted or Pumped Up?

What do we think of the 2021 draft picks (in particular 1st and 2nd rounders) value in a vacuum? I was thinking 1st should be discounted more than previous yrs because: A) It seems like a top heavy talent pool - decent talent early but the main prizes are Etienne, Chuba, Chase & Ross. After that...

Re: Gurley Trade

Gurley is the definition of a boom/bust asset. Like others have said, he could be out of the league soon, but he also could maintain his production and quell some of these arthritis fears much like Matt Forte did midway into his career. I like the trade myself, and think Gurley has a big bounce back...

He's easily a hold or a buy, but not a sell at current valuation.

Re: Deebo Samuel Broken Foot

If there was a team that was going to sign AB, this will prob be it. The chances aren't high, but to get that close to winning a SB, then lose your #1WR...it'd be hard not to add a piece like AB and go for it.

Not a doctor, but based on my general observation, they are usually associated with up and down play, and you don't normally see a player return to pre-injury form until the following season.

Re: Post Trade Grade

Yah it felt like a minor net loss to me. My trade partner in this deal is one of those guys that will only trade if they're "winning," so I knew I was going to be taking a small hit to get AJB.
