Re: Allen Robinson 2018 Outlook

Jags also lost to the Pats to make it to the SUPERBOWL because Bortles couldn't get a first down on the last 3 drives of the game. Out around 6'3 220lb. Frame on the field and that's likely a different story, either through a lighter box for Lenny, or arob posterizing a fool https://twitter.com/Sha...

Re: Allen Robinson 2018 Outlook

It is probably likely he comes back.. 75%. Jacksonville is probably trying to convince him to take less money right now with zero leverage ... it won't work. They want the discount from him being injured all year. Things could deteriorate quickly in which case he is a free agent. San Fran makes the...

Re: Interesting comments from Carr on Amari

Interesting input from Carr. But I find myself wondering, if Amari was so banged-up that "most guys wouldn't have played with what he had," how come it wasn't all over the injury report? Wouldn't we have known he was hurt like that? Maybe I'm just being naive. *disclaimer I am in no way a...

Re: What do people expect of Derek Carr?

Just checked what the consensus thought of Carr entering 2017. Dynasty ADP on fantasy football calculator (pulls thousands of drafts) had him as the #3 dynasty QB behind Rodgers Luck. That’s where the average dynasty draft notched him entering last season. Funny what one bad season (bad system whic...

Re: McCarron wins his grievance, now a FA

Curious how anything can be said about his talent level with any certainty, he's had 133 career attempts and he was a 5th round pick so it's not like he was some crazy high prospect before he got drafted. Based on his numbers/play so far (and again, small sample size, so he could be a different play...

Re: Is it time to buy low on Gronk?

Can't think of any decent fantasy owner that would trade Gronk away for a future 2nd even with all the retirement talk, he's a huge asset if he plays and possibly getting rid if that for a 2nd rounder is silly to me

He could retire tomorrow and I'd still hang onto him just in case

True but I also think they add someone in FA regardless and I'm pretty confident they'll be an upgrade over the junk they had last year at the very least.

Re: Carlos Henderson

Shhhh, I’ll take him. Henderson was both a Walkman darling AND an analytics darling. The scenario you’re waiting for is this: Denver signs Cousins , and they get rid of Sanders as they clear cap space. If that’s how the offseason plays out, even if you don’t like him you’ll find a buyer. Been heari...

Re: Thoughts on Jamaal Williams next year?

10x better is a little extreme to me. I will be the first admit I am not a huge metrics guy. I know they provide some insight for sure but I dont think they ever tell the whole picture. At the end of the day, the coaching staff stuck with Jamaal at the end of the season which sticks out to me. Will...

Re: Thoughts on Jamaal Williams next year?

So I had Jamaal thrown in on a trade last year for Shady. I thought Jamaal really played well down the stretch when the backfield was his and I decided to watch all of his snaps from his heavy game loads last night. Holy crap did that guy face a stacked box all year. I know people knock his ypc ave...

Re: When to draft luck?

In a 1QB startup I don't see much reason to draft a QB in the single digit rounds, even if it's Rodgers or Wilson or whoever, you're better off getting someone at a value in the later rounds since they're devalued so much and focusing on a position with a lot more scarcity like RB.

Re: Josh Gordon: Buy now?

When I said one-dimensional I didn't mean like the Will Fuller/Ted Ginn type where pretty much all they do is run go routes. The only real success we've seen Gordon have has been on deep passes and working down the field. That isn't to say he can't do well if he was running some crossing routes over...

Re: Josh Gordon: Buy now?

I get that that's a lot to go through and maybe I went off on a tangent in the middle there and I don't want it to seem like I'm being overly defensive but I thought it was important that people know I'm not knocking the dude's talent as an outside receiver or that I'm "just another jealous Gor...
