Re: Bell, Njoku, Callaway for Kerryon, Guice, OJ Howard and Lamar Jackson

Njoku=Howard for me. I'm not a huge Callaway fan. KJ + Guice for Bell is nice though. Can you get something different than Lamar Jackson though? I just dont see him ever amounting to much at all. If you like him then it's a good trade for you. But I have zero interest in Lamar. I'd actually rather ...

Re: Huge OBJ Trade Offers: Which one? (POLL)

I would never worry about "helping" another team. Does it benefit your team? Is the value fair? Ok then go with it. A trade is theoretically supposed to help both teams, not one while the other bends over and takes it.

Re: Jonnu Smith

He isnt a big part of the offense, he just scored TDs the last 2 games. One on a shovel pass at the goalline. 5 targets the past 2 games combined. I guess its better than where he was, but the scores are what have people excited.

Re: Huge OBJ Trade Offers: Which one? (POLL)

Piling on the Guice side. Once Lev Bell signs somewhere this offseason flip him for a young WR. Plus the picks and you're set up nicely for the future.

Also if you want to rebuild with WRs you can trade Chubb and Guice for WRs in the Juju tier pretty easily.

Re: James Conner Value in picks?

2 early firsts would be a good starting point in negotiations.

Well he doesn't want to play for good teams either...

Bell will take the largest contract he is offered, regardless of winning, scheme, fit, etc.

Re: Le'Veon Bell

Agree with using 32 for DJ's guarantee, but not fine with the numbers you cited for Bell. He was only guaranteed 10 million, his signing bonus, that's IT. If he got injured in camp, for example, that's all he got. IF he stayed healthy and played 2 years he would have gotten 33 million over 2 years,...

Re: Le'Veon Bell

Bro, you are either really stubborn or all sorts of (synonym for not smart). :wall: Maybe you're still in middle school, in which case I would also apologize. I try hard not to be insulting but c'mon! Bell should EASILY have been a top 5 or top 1 paid RB. It's not like that is some great benefit th...

I'd much rather roster McKinnon than Crowder.

Re: Le'Veon Bell

How does a top 4 deal at worst not benefit the player? If that's the worst case scenario for the player, that isnt terrible. I agree that it benefits the team as well. But this isnt all bad for the player. Again, if you are the highest paid player at your position for a year, how do you not benefit ...

Re: Le'Veon Bell

You do realize the entire point of the tag is to prevent a player from being able to test the market to determine their value? If a team is willing to tag and pay per the guidelines of the tag, it is because it is to the team's advantage....period. The franchise tag also benefits the player by lock...

Re: Le'Veon Bell

From the Beast: "The franchise tag is team friendly, which is why they use it so often. Teams should have to work out contracts with their players that both sides agree on. The franchise tag is complete BS as it dis-incentivizes teams from actually having to put in the hard work to create a de...

Re: Le'Veon Bell

Don't see the Franchise tag going away in any future contract. Teams and their fans want to retain their stars if they can. Anyone who doesn't think those tags are very expensive doesn't understand the system. Players are guaranteed a huge salary if they won't sign a contract or if a team is lookin...

Re: Le'Veon Bell

I would not bet on no transition tag; They could match a contract and trade him for a legit pick. There are a lot of politics that will be in play as owners look to close this loophole in the CBA which goes beyond a compensatory pick. BTW, compensatory picks are calculated on salary, playing time, ...
