I have leagues with 6pt interception and it does make more players desirable. If you don't play in a big play league, you should try it. Big play is a ton more fun than leagues with tackle heavy scoring.

I think you need to not do that. You should be able to get a nice LB prospect in the third or forth, which leaves your future second for a chance at offensive talent. Your defensive scoring isn't that great.
