Re: Best Ball total points dynasty.....

I was actually thinking about starting a SF best ball dynasty league this offseason. No TE premium, but I’m leaning towards making it a 2TE league. I just can’t get on board with rewarding the same exact thing two different ways based solely on the position someone plays, but that’s a topic for anot...

Re: Does this move impact the integrity of the playoffs for our league?

Had a similar situation happen in my salary cap/contract league. All players signed off the waiver wire in this league automatically become unrestricted FAs the following offseason, so an owner who was just eliminated from the consolation tourney promptly dropped like eight players. His reasoning? “...

Re: Gibson + a 1st for Kamara

Gibson alone > Kamara. Getting an early 1st on top is highway robbery. I hope you accepted this before the other owner sobered up.

Re: Why bad fantasy teams stay bad.

as is the case with the owner that blows all $100 by week 3 This isn’t really comparable at all, imo. I can’t even come up with a scenario where not spending any of your FAAB all year is a defensible strategy. On the other hand, if you spent it all before week 3 on someone like Mitchell and/or CPat...

Re: Why bad fantasy teams stay bad.

We have some owners who finish the season with 100% of the blind bidding budget. In leagues where the $$$ doesn't carry over from year to year. That's a fast-track to mediocre village as is the case with the owner that blows all $100 by week 3 This isn’t really comparable at all, imo. I can’t even ...

Re: Smash accept for J Taylor?

Definitely a smash accept for me. The long term value isn’t even in dispute, but it seems like you’re mainly concerned about getting weaker this year. Speaking as someone who owns zero shares of anyone in this trade, I’d make this deal even in redraft. I feel like you’re letting your sentimentality ...

Re: Appreciate this forum!

These boards were super helpful to me in my first couple years of dynasty. Not only do they offer a wide range of perspectives and opinions, but the vast majority of them are well reasoned and clearly articulated. It’s an incredible resource for new dynasty owners (especially the Team Advice forum) ...

Re: Why bad fantasy teams stay bad.

Where I've been struggling is with short dynasty leagues, say 22 to 26 roster spots. I was in a 22 deep dynasty years ago where I struggled to get to 500 each year. Been in a 26-deep league 9 years now and I'm always in the middle each year, just barely making/missing the playoffs. Won the champion...

Re: Hollywood offer?

I’m guessing this is for team 1 in your sig? In a vacuum, I’d prefer the pick, but if it is for that team, I can see why it’s tempting. Perine would give you insurance for Mixon and Hollywood would probably slide into your WR3 slot, or at least be a regular flex play. It definitely improves your tea...

Re: Dak for Lawrence/late 1st?

The value is fair in a 1 QB league and if you think Lawrence becomes elite, it's a great deal. Prescott is elite and that's big in any format but I think Lawrence has the skills to get there at some point. The late 1st is not super exciting based on next years class, but the value is there. Thanks ...

Re: Barkley or Javonte Williams

This is still Barkley for me. It’d probably take at least a late 1st to sway me to the Williams side. I don’t own either player anywhere, fwiw.

Kamara >> JRob
Godwin >> Henderson
X2

JRob and Henderson are both playing fantastic football right now, but they both have superior talents ahead of them who are out for the year. Long term, Kamara and Godwin are the much safer options.

Dak for Lawrence/late 1st?

Team 2 in sig. 1QB league. Just got a text offer of Lawrence and a late 2022 1st for Dak. Dude is currently in 2nd but only has Winston and Lawrence at QB. I have Hurts and Carr as my other QBs. I’m currently 6-8 and in 9th place, but I wouldn’t say I’m out of it. There’s a glut of teams within two ...

If this is an opening offer, I’d try to at least hang onto one of your 2nds or ARSB. But if he refuses to budge, I’d still take the deal as-is.

Re: Dynasty Trade Advice : RB2 > WR1?

I think this would be a fair deal if you took out the two WRs. As it stands, you’d be getting fleeced pretty badly.
