Re: Are Najee & ETN the 2021 versions of Fournette & Cook?
I keep hearing the arguments for and against these guys and I can’t help but think we’ve heard this debate before... Specifically I mean that one of the biggest (but not the only) argument for Fournette at 1.01 that year was his “guaranteed workhorse” status and his clear path to 250+ touches, rega...

Re: Trey Sermon
I've said it earlier. I won't reach for Sermon, but if he's there for me at 1.12 I'll consider him among the other options I have. I think he's underrated. But we'll see. As for the above comment by Vcize, I'm sure you're aware of Waldman since he's been at FBG for a number of years. I like to visi...

Re: Trey Sermon
Commendable! And despite my response I sincerely do appreciate your position and the discussion. Thanks! I appreciate your response as well. Communication leads to better understanding. I often disagree with Waldman myself, so its not like I think he's some brilliant genius. I just think we could/s...

Re: The Cam Akers Wager Thread -- Deadline May 24th
The Question Is Simple: Will Cam Akers be a top 10 RB in 2021, Season Total in 0.5 PPR? Yes. EXTRA BONUS QUESTION FOR GLORY: Give me what you think will be his final RB rank for the 2021 season. RB8 For me, it became an easy answer when it was elaborated that this was total points, not PPG ranking....

Re: Harris vs. '20 RBs
I swear every Najee post just reads like people trying to get him to fall to 1.02. This is a man who has been a top RB prospect for years. Damn near the Trevor Lawrence of rbs. Are we really letting a bad line and qb situation deter us? Pedigree, draft capital, and character. That's enough for me. ...

Re: The Cam Akers Wager Thread -- Deadline May 24th
I think this is a cop out bet... I see him finishing as an RB1, but in the RB8-12 range. So I'd say no. But surely does he finish as an RB1 is more meaningful? And others have alluded to, the difference between dynasty and redraft is huge especially at the 10+ range. If he plays 16 games and finish...

Re: Najee Harris V. Ja'Marr Chase at 1.01 (knowing landing spots)
Najee will also be 23.5 when the season starts, which means he'll be almost 28 at the expiration of his rookie deal. I know RBs are always a short window, but for context he's only 16 months younger than CMC, 11 months younger than Saquon and 22 months older than Taylor. If your argument for Najee ...

Re: The Cam Akers Wager Thread -- Deadline May 24th
No. RB 24+ Seems like we have a guy like this every few years. A rookie that finishes really strong and catapults up to high startup value. Every once in a while it's David Johnson. More often it's Julius Jones, Jeremy Hill, Miles Sanders, Jay Ajayi, etc. These kind of guys are the worst EV risk in ...

Re: Najee Harris V. Ja'Marr Chase at 1.01 (knowing landing spots)
That doesn't account for year-to-year or week-to-week production, but more than half AVERAGED WR2 play or better. That is a pretty damn good hit rate. I was a skeptic of this argument by have come around. Go look at the RBs taken at the back end of the first round. A few recent examples that come t...

16 teams and 6pt pass TDs, Lawrence a perfectly reasonable pick there.

Guy broke out behind actual superstars like Chase and Jefferson while Smith and Waddle truthers make excuses for why a bum like Henry Ruggs blocked them from breaking out Someone else posted this a while ago. Re: Najee Harris V. Ja'Marr Chase at 1.01 (knowing landing spots)
Here's the list, fwiw. Since 2000. Corey Davis Amari Cooper Sammy Watkins Justin Blackmon AJ Green Calvin Johnson Braylon Edwards Larry Fitzgerald Charles Rodgers Andre Johnson Peter Warrick That top-5 list has a hit rate of 5/11. Not as bad as I'd assumed. With picks 3, 5 and 8, I won't face the H...

Re: Waddle v. Toney: What's the difference?
As someone sitting at 1.07 expecting Waddle to be the guy there, this is actually a good thread and brings up a comparison I hadn't thought of. Waddle was ranked WELL ahead of Toney pre-draft so passing it off as just a difference in landing spots is taking the easy way out. The reality is people th...
