For the team in my signature I have an upcoming late draft pick and plan to take a backup QB. The "best" options available are Jay Cutler and Alex Smith. Who would you take and why? This is a 1 QB league.

I think he's a jag and they drafted direct competition for him.

He's dropped because even though we play dynasty people get influenced by the promise of immediate production vs future elite production.

Depends on who you think 1.01 is. I'd prefer Fournette over Gurley but Gurley over Davis.

Not convinced that Nuk is better than Sammy but Cook should be better than Coleman so I'd prefer Sammy/Cook.

Unless I have the 1.1 (and sometimes not even then) I never tell who I'm taking in case someone uses that knowledge to try and trade ahead of me to take said player.

I generally go the bpa route, and if there are similarly ranked RBs and WRs available then I'll use need to determine who to take. In one draft I've already completed I had the 1.1 and didn't hesitate to take LF because I don't have good RB depth and my starting WRs are OBJ, Cooper and ARob.

IMO DT + Davis for Evans is even so adding in CMac tips the scales to that side of the offer for me.

If you're in a league with me you should freak out and trade me Luck since he'll likely be out for the season and never be the same again!

In a vacuum I like Fournette better, but since you also have the 1.4 you will get either CMac, Mixon, or Cook so I think you should take Davis at 1.01.
