Re: Cam Newton

I think he has to be at least equal to Luck in value. Produced better as a rookie, producing better now than Luck's one good season.

Re: David Johnson Ari RB

In community mock #2 I got Gurley at 1.04 and D Johnson at 4.09 I think. Honestly felt early for him, but now it looks like he's going to be a serious offseason riser. Oh and I just got CJ Spiller 16.09... sometimes you just don't live up to that offseason hype... just wait til Spiller reunites with...

Re: First year playing dynasty- Was this season unusual?

Year to year I believe it's been shown (over a period of say 5 years) there is more volatility in the top 12 RBs than the top 12 WRs. Also I think most people would agree (and data would support) passing is becoming more prevalent and individual RBS are getting less touches (committees abound). All ...

Re: Week 15 NFL discussion

15/181/2 for Brown. Just unfair. If Roethlisberger had not gotten injured.... I think we might be asking whether or not Brown gets to 160 receptions on the year. Marvin Harrison his 143 and has Brown behind him for 2nd all time (last year 129). This is just ridiculous. Antonio Brown is threatening ...

Re: Preferred Method for Standings

I think the charts provided by Jules show that playing double headers will help to guarantee the best team a better chance at making the playoffs. That is how it should be. Whatever happens after that is subject to the preferred playoffs system. Disagree, some amount of volatility is better for the...

Re: Dynasty ADP

Thrify, I'd suggest maybe capping the rounds at 12. Also I'll continue mocking indefinitely if you keep running them though only one at a time, so when mock 2 wraps, I'll join 3 if we're still queuing.

Julio was #1 for me until last night. Beckham exceeded my year two expectations. His ceiling is realistically as high as anyone but prime Calvin and he's young. I'm on board, OBJ #1 asset.

Re: Preferred Method for Standings

Does adding victory points take away from that fun/engagement? I just don't imagine that it does. It really does. Good teams never lose and bad teams never win. You can project playoff teams really accurately after about two weeks. Enjoy those 10 weeks of waiting for your single elimination non-VP ...

Re: Preferred Method for Standings

I liken fantasy to poker a lot, but usually in relation to results oriented evaluations.... anyway... Head to head is best. Why? It's most entertaining IMO, but even more importantly it allows lesser players to succeed. That's critically important to keeping the community healthy. If two players get...

Re: We need to discuss Jarvis Landry and this may blow you a

JFever, I definitely think you may need to account for the return yardage in your league skewing in his favor and it may cloud your judgment. 2.32 points per game is equivalent to adding 6 TDs to his total, that's a big deal. However, that's not the argument I want to present. Points per target. You...

...I for one value J.Landry above B.Cooks, J.Matthews, K.Allen, M.Bryant, TY, Kelvin, Moncrief, K.White,D.Parker, and Cobb. I have him a hair below M.Evans. I 100% completely think that there is a high % of people that get so wrapped up in wr size, speed, and combine #'s that they continually miss ...

This. The commish part is irrelevant except that now you know you need to leave the league.

Meh, poor efficiency last year with 1.57 PPT and then there's the stuff about coming into camp out of shape. It's a lot harder to rehab a knee injury than it is to report to camp in shape. I'd sell if I could get a first and wouldn't pay a first to get him (definitely buying for a 2nd).

Re: K. Allen: More than a volume player?

To me that is the definition of a volume WR. Or as I would call it a volume-DEPENDANT WR. A WR that is more of a possession guy that requires volume, to accumulate fantasy points. Whereas some guys are boom-bust guys because they put up the 4c 110yd 2 TD performances 1 week and go 1 catch for 17 ya...
