Re: Davis or Mixon???

Take Davis. Mixon has lots of talent but the Bengals o-line is a dumpster fire. Plus, all the usual stuff—wide receivers last longer and perform more consistently from year to year.

Re: Camp Battles - Linebackers

I just grabbed Kamalei Correa and B.J. Goodson in my "rookie" draft. In this league, we go five rounds of rookies and then add veterans in and go five more rounds. Deep league. I targeted them before the draft started and spent significant capital to be sure I got Correa, but Goodson was f...

Re: MFL Position Updates

The Mack change strikes me as outright devastating for his owners. Ouch. I pour one out for my rivals.

Re: Perine or Hunt

I go Hunt, and especially so in PPR leagues. The Redskins coach is on record defending fat Rob, who is supposedly getting in great shape besides. The amount of draft capital the Chiefs plowed into acquiring Hunt, dealing two picks in order to select him, tells me everything I need to know about what...

Re: any williams truthers?

I have to add this here, as I was picking at 1.05 recently and leery of winding up with a choice between the fourth RB and Mike Williams. But when it all came down, the top four RBs went first and I got C. Davis. I like Mike Williams, and I expect Chargers management likes him more than they like Ty...

Re: Price check on Christian kirsey

I just traded Kirksey for the 3.08 and 4.08, taking Cooper Kupp and Carlos Henderson. Sad to see him go but there was so much talent sliding I had to do it.

Re: D'Onta Foreman, buy him now?

He went early enough in the NFL draft that he falls into that category of players who figure to get opportunity. When I got him at 2.12, he was the 10th running back off the board, after the usual six plus Jamal Williams, Joe Williams and James Conner (to the Bell owner). He was a bargain at that pr...

Re: Perriman VS Doctson

Docston seems far more complete. Even if Perriman succeeds he looks like more of a "best ball" guy who will have good weeks when he makes a big play. Doctson has the skills to produce in a wider variety of ways. He also, knock wood, is supposed to be healthy now.

Re: Podcasts other than DLF, UTH & nerds?

There is a podcast called DynastyOne which is sometimes entertaining and I highly recommend On the Couch from Footballguys as well as The Audible. Hosts Sigmund Bloom and Cecil Lammey are very entertaining and Matt Waldman is a great analyst. Much of their talk is covertly about dynasty. In effect, ...

Re: D'Onta Foreman, buy him now?

I think once even an IDP draft gets into the late second round, 2.07 and on, Foreman is something of a bargain. With his mutant size-speed ratio he could be a perennial high-carry thousand yard guy if the light-bulb goes on and he learns how to use his talent to its utmost.

Re: Which young WR would you prefer?

I'd rank them Parker and Bryant as a tier unto themselves. Parker is getting good offseason buzz as a guy who has finally figured out how to work in the NFL and Bryant is one slip up away from never playing again but seemingly primed to take over the world. His weight is up to 225, he's shredded, ru...

Re: Tajae Shapre vs Late Round Rookie (guys like Stewart, Golladay, etc) [POLL]

The poll is setting up as a rout, to which I contributed. The team showed no faith in Sharpe during the NFL draft, and Sharpe appears to have responded by proving them right. Draft a rookie. —Best, Steve

Re: 1.11 OTC

I think this year's talent pool thins out fairly quickly at wide receiver. There are some guys you might get at 2.11 who can help you—maybe Carlos Henderson, in a couple of years. But I'd take JuJu and try to come back with Adam Shaheen later on. Take advantage of the chance to get a wide receiver w...

Re: Drafting Pairs or Same Team

I've read some of this "stack" analysis and cannot argue against it. I have to fight my own bias, however, as even in my recent rookie draft I was picking at 1.05 and found it very difficult to imagine grabbing Mike Williams to go along with my tight end Hunter Henry. It just "feels&q...
