Re: 1.02 for Freeman
You don't get points for last year's production, and at a position with near 70% turnover from year to year there are a lot of red flags surrounding Freeman. I don't think he's necessarily any safer if I were betting on which guy (Freeman vs. the 1.02) would be a total bust and tradeable for a late...

Re: 1.1 vs McCoy and Future
I think this depends how confident you are that they will truly end up top 5. If it were a guarantee then I think McCoy and the picks would be a no brainer, so how good this trade is depends on how confident you are that will happen.

Re: Cooks to NE
Yeah, I was pointing out that Beckham (and possibly others) was likely missing in Jason's search because of them turning 24 in the same year they broke that statistical mark. The search would eliminate these players because they turned 24 that season, even if they hit the mark BEFORE they turned 24...

Re: Cooks to NE
There are some that think this trade has moved Cooks value up, I'd say it has left it the same or lowered it and if you can find someone who thinks his value is the same or higher, you can get a premium return on investment on shift to multiple high probability rookies right now. I think it moved h...

Re: Let's talk RBs for 2017/18
There are two 5 second hand grenades in front of you. The pins are pulled on both of them. One was pulled one second ago, the other three. Pick one to hold for a second and one to throw immediately. Pick the wrong one to hang on to and it'll blow up in your face. Get rid of them in the correct orde...

Re: startup trade
So just best guessing using startup ADP this is something like... Mike Evans for DeAndre Hopkins, Doug Baldwin, Prosise, 2018 2nd, 2019 2nd I think a lot of it depends on how you feel about Hopkins/ARob who look like the typical picks at 1.9. If you think they'll bounce back then it's probably a goo...

Re: Overpay for David Johnson?
Lol gotta love recency bias. A year ago people would have said DJ+1.5 is too cheap for A Rob! I think it's an overpay simply because A Rob's value is about as low as it will ever be right now. But, with your team, you can afford to overpay to lock down a stud RB. Wait, a year before David Johnson b...

Re: Offseason 2017 completed trades and discussion
In a league where the rookie draft has the following players, Julio, AJG, K Allen, D Adams, D Henry + all rookies. Give: 2.10 Get: Alshon Give: Jordy Get 1.5 Give: Evans / Murray Get: Cooper/ 1.4 Starting Lineup before / After Ryan Murray/Gio Evans/Dez/Jordy/Meredith Olsen Ryan 1.4/1.5 (Assuming Ju...

Re: Amari Cooper value
Being pro ready and being a phenom are two very different things. I'm not sure his ceiling is in the Phenom range, personally. He's very good, but I'm willing to bet against him being the next Odell Beckham Jr. I am willing to bet no one is the next OBJ...I like those odds. He doesn't need to be OB...

Re: Amari Cooper value
As someone mentioned, Cooper's pace after 8 games was definitely elite this past year. What perhaps gets overlooked is that his production dropped pretty much dead in line with him picking up a couple of nagging injuries. I think if Cooper had gotten hurt badly enough that he had to sit out the rest...

pity he only has 100MM$ for a sympathy pillow ! poor mistreated feller! What does this have to do with the question? I have never heard him complain about money or being mistreated either. He has always acted like a pro. Wait, what? The big story last offseason was Sam Bradford's complaining. http:...

Re: Will the Packers give TY Montgomery a chance to be lead back?
In 12 draft classes, Ted Thompson has drafted 6 running backs. Never one in the 1st, 2 rb's in the 2nd round, 1 in the 3rd, 1 in the 4th and the other two in the 7th. Ted typically doesn't like to invest draft capital into running backs are inside linebackers. With the defense in need of an influx ...

Re: Trade discussion and etiquette
I don't see any problem with negotiating with multiple teams involving the same player regardless of whether or not you make that fact transparent to each of them. I can understand how someone could get a little frustrated if they thought they were getting close to an agreement on a player only to b...

How does this change if the 2nds are early? What would three 2nds in the 2.1 - 2.5 range net in the 1st?
