Re: 2021 Draft Pick Valuation - Discounted or Pumped Up?

Unless your rookie draft is before the actual NFL draft, then I really don't think this matters. The consensus top 9 players drafted this year in FF are 5 RBs drafted in round 1 and 2 and 4 WRs taken in round 1 of the NFL draft. As much as we like to tout our own scouting abilities the NFL draft dic...

Re: 2020 BAD Trade Offers

I give: Tyreek Hill and Saquon Barkley

I get: Late 2020 first and 2nd and late 2021 first and 2nd

This is also a salary cap league where both Hill and Barkley are cost controlled for the next 2 seasons for less than 10% of our cap combined.

Re: Tiers in the rookie draft?

Assuming 1QB, there seems to be some clear lines being drawn if you look at completed drafts. Obviously you will have some variance, but the majority of drafts seem to be shaping up this way: Tier 1: CEH/JT Tier 2: Dobbins/Swift/Akers/Jeudy/Lamb Tier 3: Justin Jefferson/Reagor Tier 4: Ruggs/Mims/Vau...

Re: Pick your Four!

Mixon, Cook, and Kamara are all easy choices to me. Once RBs get off their rookie deal, things tend to go south, and all 3 of these guys are entering the last year of their deal. Mixon - Shocked he is top 10 now and I can think of a few RBs I would rather have over the next 3 years than Mixon. I wou...

Re: Flipping players

When it comes to trading and evaluations everything depends on your league and the owner/team you are dealing with. I'm all about value and making deals/picks that increase the overall value of my roster. For example, when Baker was exploding the back half of his rookie deal, I ended up trading Bake...

Re: Is Reagor the top WR to get in 2020?

Surprised to see multiple people tout Philly as a great landing spot. Last year, more than half of Wentz’s passes (53.2% to be exact) went to TEs and RBs. With Ertz remaining highly productive and Sanders and Goedert ascending, I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I’m also pretty sure I read/hea...

Re: Ke'Shawn Vaughn?

I don't love Vaughn, but I do think his late first/early 2nd round price tag is fair. After the top 5 RBs and the first round WRs, you can lump Higgins/Mims/Pittman/Vaughn/Edwards/Aiyuk/Burrow (assuming 1 QB) into a bag for me and I wouldn't argue too much with the order they were selected. I took V...

Re: Drop Bisi Johnson to pick at 45?

Assuming this is a 1QB league, at pick 45, BPA is going to be one of the TEs or a Quintez Cephus/John Hightower dart throw. With what looks like a shortened offseason, I'm inclined to keep Bisi in hopes he gets off to a hot start and gets the bulk of the reps early as the only incumbent after Thiele...

Re: Is WR ridiculously deep now?

An upward trend in passing volume has led to an upward trend in fantasy relevant WRs. Combine that with a downward trend in the 3 down bellcow RB and what you see is what you get.

Re: Lamar Jackson Trade SF (Poll)

You have Dak. Cousins is solid for your number 2.

22 first = 23 first essentially to just take those out entirely.

Cousins+Cooper+21 first > Lamar even in SF. You're buying Lamar at peak value and that rarely works out

New OC Alex Van Pelt having Mayfield change his footwork. Always get nervous about changes in mechanics like this. Thoughts? Re: Way too Early 2021 Draft Thread

And yet Ruggs was drafted over both of them. That's not really an argument against it. It suggests the NFL may not have viewed them as highly as the dynasty community did. I saw them talked up to be the 2020 version of the Julio and AJG draft, but they weren't even the top WRs selected in their cla...

Re: Way too Early 2021 Draft Thread

A couple RBs that haven't been mentioned that I'm watching: Zamir White at Georgia and Max Borghi at Washington State. Really intrigued by Borghi as he looks like he could be a PPR machine. He has 139 receptions in his first 2 years in college and really catches the ball with ease for a RB. If he en...

Re: Ranking TE's 25 or younger

I think Ian Thomas is the best value of all the under 25 TEs. He can be had as a throw in and is probably the cheapest buy on that entire list. I like the profile but he is the 5th option on a bad team with a low volume passing attack . I can’t see him ahead of Jonnu, Irv, Gesicki, Sternberger, Her...
