Re: Denzel Mims official thread

You're missing the point of what he's saying. He's not talking about startups. He's talking about an active league with an owner who has drafted that player. He's saying most owners won't trade away a guy like Harry, for half of what they spent on him a year later, basically. From my experience, th...

Re: Antonio Brown

There's a reason WR is right there with Pass Rusher for highest paid position in the league behind QB. Teams can't get enough of them, and value them highly. There's no question AB is among the very best in the world today at that job, he's going to get a shot eventually. I'm sure he will at this p...

Re: Antonio Brown

I agree that he's not the PR nightmare that Rice was, but he's still a locker room/organization cancer. If a team is signing him, you're assuming that it's not to be their go-to guy, and that they have a few WRs ahead of him on the depth chart. If I'm a team like Seattle, I don't want distractions ...

Give me the small school guy who struggled early over the Notre Dame alum that did the same.

Re: Ke'Shawn Vaughn?

He was also out with an illness for the AFC Championship, so its entirely possible that he wasn’t back up to 100% for the Superbowl and the team needed depth elsewhere. The Divisional playoff results were more questionable, but with Houston going up big early, it could be that McCoy was simply viewe...

With Marquise Lee opting out, I think Jeff Thomas makes the 53 man roster.
It’s down to him, Byrd and Olszewski and I like Thomas by a fair bit there.

Re: If Clyde Wasn't Hyped Enough...

Can you imagine if he immediately opted out? LOL. That would be hilarious. Is there language that stops that? As far as I can tell, there isn’t. It would be amazing if Shady just said “I’d like my $150K for nothing, please,” and then immediately after opting out due to COVID threw some extremely-Le...

Re: Jamal Adams traded to Seattle

Haven't heard much on Seattle letting earl Thomas walk then bringing in Adams. Thoughts on how they compare? This isn't hyperbole... but Jamal Adams is the heir apparent to Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu. That's how good he is. That's what the stats and film are showing through his first 3 years in the ...

Re: Jamal Adams traded to Seattle

a smarter move would have been to buy Fitzpatrick last offseason, or not given up a first round pick at all and just paid Earl Thomas or Tyrann Mathieu last off-season, or Ward/Randall/Clinton-Dix this one. This is where it gets interesting, to me. Did they believe they could cover for the loss of ...

Re: Dalvin Cook holding out

I think this is being made more complicated than it is. If cook shows up to camp and plays at least 8 games, the '20 season counts and he's a FA next season. If he doesn't do everything up above, the '20 season wont count against his contract and the Vikings will still have his rights. I don’t thin...

Re: List of players who have opted out for 2020 season

Guys hit IR all the time and while it’s certainly not good for your career, at least in this case the player doesn’t have to prove that he’s recovered from whatever, he just needs to show he’s stayed in shape. That said, with the cap dropping next season, I think a lot of guys are going to be screwe...

Re: 2020 Backup QB Rankings

Outta all the “free” backups out there, I still find N. Mullens to be one of the most intriguing. Not any kind of clear path to playing time or anything so he’s a long shot to see value soon without an injury to Jimmy. But I think he looked like he belonged in the NFL when thrown into the fire a co...

And now Funchess opts out. Good thing Green Bay opted for another QB and a bum TE instead of a WR in the draft.

Re: List of players who have opted out for 2020 season

A lot of linemen as well, both offensive and defensive. I guess I can see why the boys in the trenches would have a little more concern than your average DB or WR.
