Re: Are we nervous about Keenan?

I think it's fair to be concerned about Keenan losing some volume, and certainly MW will be given every chance to supplant Tyrell as the WR1. But I would take this all with a grain of salt. Rivers is an accuracy passer more than a rifle arm. One of the biggest issues with Tyrell last year was his im...

Re: Jordan Matthews

Just wanted to add that Matthews is also a UFA after '17, as far as looking to '18 and beyond, if Jeffery were to leave. To answer the OP's question, I view Matthews as a bit of a sleeper. You have a pretty good sense of the floor, but as others have said, legit WR2 numbers aren't out of the questio...

Re: H Henry or Rookie TEs (Poll)

The clincher for me is the anecdotal reports that Henry succeeded as an in-line blocker in '16, and the situation (Rivers, established TE role in offense). For long-term purposes, as a Henry owner, I'm looking for the Chargers to draft a QB in the next couple years, probably next year with the QB-he...

Re: Sell Your Chargers Now!?!

Technically the statistics posted have only shown that many players whose teams have relocated have still been able to produce good fantasy seasons. That in turn would indeed imply that those players dynasty values did not decline. However there have been no recent studies that show this to be true...

Re: Sell Your Chargers Now!?!

It's disappointing to see personal attacks on this site. If there's a statistical case for franchise moves impacting fantasy stats, I'm all ears, bring on the stats. I think the stats posted so far show this isn't the case. Besides that point, there's the various obvious implication that the Charger...

Re: Sell Your Chargers Now!?!

Somehow missed the incredibly obvious Browns' move to Baltimore. 1995 Cleveland Browns (5-11) QB Vinny Testaverde: 241/392, 2883 yards, 17 TD RB Leroy Hoard: 136 att., 547 yards, 4.0 YPC, 0 TD* WR Andre Rison: 47/701/3 TE Brian Kinchen: 20/216/0 * Of all the teams listed here, this team was the one ...

Pretty strong post for having less than 10 posts under your belt...well done research!
Appreciate the kind words. I have a couple young kids so I'm more of a lurker here when I can get on, but this discussion piqued my interest. Also bored at work lol.

Re: Sell Your Chargers Now!?!

Looking at the stats of the last five teams that have moved, I don't see any correlation between team move and statistical performance. Some players performed more poorly, some players improved. 1987 St. Louis Cardinals to Phoenix 1994 Los Angeles Rams to St. Louis 1994 Los Angeles Raiders to Oaklan...

Re: Sell Your Chargers Now!?!

If the Chargers were moving to San Antonio, I might buy this argument. They are essentially moving up the road. How many Chargers players actually live in San Diego? How many already make their home somewhere between LA and San Diego? If I've read correctly, the Chargers' new facility is in Costa Me...

Re: Keep 3 players in 2017? Need help

Definitely OBJ. As for Gurley, unless you need to make the call now, probably worth it to see how the coaching search/draft pans out for the Rams. If they are sticking with Goff, could be tough sledding for a while. While I don't know if he'll repeat his success, Ajayi is a definite for the price. L...

Advice: 4 Keepers for 2017

Just curious on people's early thoughts on keepers from this group for 2017. League information: 12 teams, 17 roster spots, .5 PPR, QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, RB/WR/TE, K, DEF Keeper rules: keep up to 4, each keeper costs one round higher than their round the year before. Can keep until they are kept as a ...

Re: Hunter Henry -- #1 Dynasty TE?

I agree with the comments above regarding Kelce. Until Hunter has the production, hard to slot him as TE1. However, looking at combined TE fantasy production among all NFL teams this year, the SD combo of Gates and Hunter positions very close to the combos of Bennett/Gronk and Reed/Davis. I'm not tr...

Re: It's never too early to talk 2017 free agents

Given that Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles could be cut with no dead cap after the 2016 season, I'm curious what people think about the possibilities of Jerrick McKinnon and Spencer Ware as replacements for the two, respectively. I guess I'm asking this within the context of the 2017 draft...are ...
