Re: Does being the first RB or WR really matter?

I think it's only really meaningful when an RB or WR is the 1st off the board AND goes in the Top-5, because that means a team thinks of this player as a potentially all-time position prospect. Since 2000, here are the RB/WRs that have gone Top-5: Saquon Barkley Leonard Fournette Corey Davis Ezekiel...

Re: New Heights of Rookie Fever

RBs with fresh legs are always more appealing in dynasty, or at least they should be. Once an RB hits age 25-26, you're basically at peak trade value and production. So, not surprised a lot of these RBs are going so high.

Not a rookie but Jace Sternberger should be getting more attention with the Packers passing on a WR in the draft
Maybe Lazard too
People said this about MVS last year.

Just another fluff piece.
Not exactly. He said he used to go out and drink and smoke each night. That would explain why he underachieved as one of the best WR prospects of the last decade.

Re: Swift vs Dobbins

People seem to want to have it both ways with Detroit. Kerryon's value was in the tank because he was an injury bust and would never stay healthy. Now Swift's value is dropping because Kerryon is there. I prefer to draft the player, not the landing spot because the league changes so fast, but I'm r...

Re: Let’s settle it: CEH or JT

But it's NOT clear that the NFL doesn't think he is, only that KC preferred CEH to JT. I think it is. Two teams passing on JT for two different RBs indicates to me that JT is not viewed as a clearly superior talent by the NFL. If you choose believe they are the only two teams that had RBs over JT t...

Re: Let’s settle it: CEH or JT

Pretty sure you will find the hit rate is higher in first round RB's vs first round WR's. Not dealing with hypotheticals, just the situations that are. Draft capital in the first seems to have a higher degree of success and predictability for RB's compared to WR's, that was my point. I understand y...

Re: Let’s settle it: CEH or JT

First round RB's are different to first round WR's, though. I don't see why it should matter if draft capital is the #1 indicator of success. Not to mention, WR's play longer, so you get more long-term return on your investment as well. RBs are sexy because you can flip them quicker with more immed...

Re: Let’s settle it: CEH or JT

Predraft rankings don't mean much to me. Draft capital is the #1 predictor of NFL success, so I don't see the point of ignoring that piece of the puzzle in favor of predraft rankings. CEH was the top RB selected in the draft to the best offense in the league, so that is good enough for me. Taylor h...

Re: Let’s settle it: CEH or JT

I think if you did this poll in March, it would've been lopsided in Taylor's favor. Not to imply that Edwards-Helaire lacks talent or ability, but situation is largely pumping up so much of his value right now. Granted, new information allows us to adjust, and CEH going into a optimal landing spot ...

Re: Which Non-1st Round WR Will Be The Steal of the 2020 Draft?

I viewed this through the lens of fantasy draft value as well so I took KJ Hamler. That guy isn't being talked about at all and has a good breakout age and draft capital. Been talking up Hamler since during the season. He has some overlap with Tyler Lockett in terms of skillset and value (Lockett w...

Re: Lamar Jackson is the best QB in the NFL & Fantasy

This is easy for me to say because my million dollar job isn't on the line, but if I were a GM and was able to field offers without it becoming public knowledge, I'd see what I can get for any QB outside of Mahomes and Rodgers (and some of the older guys like Brady and Brees who won't command much ...

Re: Why Mark Andrew's will finish 2020 as the #1 dynasty TE

You always have to ask yourself a simple question: Which TEs have the clearest path to dominating a high percentage of targets in the most high octane offenses? Mark Andrews certainly belongs on this list: 1. Travis Kelce: 136 targets, 24.3% share 2. Mark Andrews: 98 targets, 23.1% share 3. George K...
