Re: Torrey Smith

I agree with that assessment, Tommy. The real problem with Torrey Smith is that his week to week point totals are Desean Jackson with a lower floor and lower ceiling. He can't be counted on at all to produce. Other than a few huge games, what has he done? I bet his median is way below his average. I...

Re: Torrey Smith

He's never put up higher than WR3 numbers on a PPG basis his whole career. He was in TY, Michael Floyd, Colston, Riley Cooper, Brian Hartline, Denarius Moore territory last year.

Sounds about like middle WR3.

Re: Food for thought

In case anyone is still interested, here's more data. Draft 2001 - 2011. (Even if nobody else is interested, I had a good time compiling the data). Sheet will be posted for everyone's use when I can stick it in my drop box and update this post. Full report (you may need Power Pivot to update certain...

Re: I like Evans more than Watkins... here is why:

McCown did nothing in his career until he had Trestman as a coach. He won't have Trestman's system in Tampa in fact he'll be with Lovie Smith who's struggled to get production from his QBs Chicago had Terry Shea, Ron Turner, and Mike Martz as coordinators under Smith. He'll have Jeff Tedford in Tam...

Re: Food for thought

OP, if you can get me a full data set of WR & QB statistics for as far back as you can find (1994 forward at least), including team names, and also team offensive (pass & run) rank, by year, in flat table layout, I'll try to run some regression analysis when I get time. I can work and join the table...

Re: Dynasty league sites

I would really, really suggest using an actual site that is for dynasty leagues, because it can be a mess tracking everything yourself since ESPN/Yahoo are closed in the offseason. MFL is my favourite, and won't do one elsewhere, but if your looking for free I would use Fleaficker. On both MFL and ...

Re: Dynasty league sites

I'm trying to decide between Yahoo/ESPN and Fleaflicker for my dynasty startup. I think I basically will be forced into Yahoo or ESPN for the first year because I want to hold a live online auction, but I may need to migrate after that. The other owners I think will lean towards a familiar interface...

Re: Best way to do an auction

I'm starting up a new league myself (posted a topic on it, but I scrapped the contracts idea since most of the managers won't be into that complicated a system) and also interested how to best run a startup auction. 12 team, 20 roster, dynasty, yearly future rookie draft, no contracts/salaries. Live...

Re: Advice for starting up a salary cap league

I like the idea of cut players being 25% of the remaining contract, as well as the ability to set contract length. Regarding cut players having the contract reset, how is their new contract set? By the FAAB acquisition cost? Or FAAB is just used for the acquisition, and then the acquiring player has...

Advice for starting up a salary cap league

I'm looking to start a 12 team salary cap league and need some advice in hammering out the rules. I want it to be simple enough that everyone can easily understand it but challenging enough that there is enough player movement and team building strategies to keep things interesting. I initially had ...
