Re: Bernard or Austin at 1.01 for this team

Unless you are ridiculously stacked at either RB or WR, your roster shouldn't factor into who is the #1 pick. If you believe in Austin, then I think he should be your pick.

If not, you should choose between Bernard and Lacy (I personally like Lacy more).

Re: Tavon, Housler, future 1st + for Fitzgerald, future 2nd?

I'm an Austin believer, and in a return-yardage league, I'm not sure you'd be downgrading much losing Fitz for Austin  . At least in terms of long term value.

But like others have said, wait until that 1.3 pick is on the clock.

Re: Picks 1.5 and 1.7 in Rookie Draft

Do not do that trade. You're trading 2 current 1st's for 2 future 1st's + Torrey Smith. Smith is a solid player, but hardly enough to offset the 1-year delay in picks. You should run up to the mic (hypothetically) and draft Tavon Austin. Immediately. I'd probably shop 1.7 though - would you be able ...

Re: Anybody worth trading into the first for?

I won't tell you what to do with your team, but the only spot I'd recommend trading into is #3 or #5. In my opinion, there are 3 distinct tiers as of now: Austin, Bernard, Lacy Patterson, Ball, Bell Eifert, Lattimore, Hopkins, Woods, personal preference.... If you really like the Tier 1 players, tar...

Re: NYJ RB-Chris Ivory

When did Chris Ivory become this talented? More talented than any other RB in this class? Being compared to Marshawn Lynch? Guys, he averaged 5.1 ypc for the Saints - who hasn't run the ball successfully in that offense besides Mark Ingram? Let's see how he runs behind the NYJ offensive line with no...

Re: Santonio Holmes... under the radar WR3 in 2013?

I think he's a great under-the-radar buy-low target. As you mentioned, he's generally produced WR2-3 numbers when he's been healthy. Now, I wouldn't expect, nor want to rely on, Holmes putting up 80/1000/8, but like you said - his value right now is approximately equal to a can of soup. Not only do ...

Re: I accidently pulled the trigger on this trade

I think that's a great trade for you for 3 reasons: 1. You certainly don't need the immediate help with your starting lineup. Your team is ridiculously loaded. 2. I don't think his team is that great. Even if he hits on a starting RB at 1.1, he's still starting 2 of the following each week: S. Holme...

Re: Cordarrelle Patterson

I hate the uncertainty, but I am thinking of taking him over Austin. Just curious as to why? The only thing Patterson has that Austin doesn't, in my opinion, is height. Austin is a little faster, quicker, tougher/durable, is more pro-ready and apparently NFL scouts/teams like Austin better than Pat...

Re: Which WR/TE combo?

Nicks + Finley for me easily. First off, I do not see a huge difference between Finley's value + Rudolph's value. While Rudolph is still young, I don't see him becoming a true threat as this "new-wave TE". I don't think he has the movement skills to create mismatches. I think he'll be a great red-zo...

Re: 1.01 / 1.02 / 3.08 for Forte / Stevie / 2.02

Agreed with the poster above. Earlier in the off-season I traded Forte/JStew/Cook for MJD/1.1/Goodson - While I don't think the 1.1 (or 1.2) rookie RB will be as productive as Matt Forte (I still think he/they could in the right situation), having the best overall rookie RB is still a pretty solid i...

Re: Tavon Austin

I would be trying to avoid him to be honest. I would be very scared drafting him assuming he will be a beast. There is a good chance of bust. I don't mean a 50 % chance he will be a bust but there is a very real chance he becomes just an ok WR3. I would draft him if he fell to me but I wouldn't be ...

Re: Jets pick at #9 & #13

I wouldn't be shocked to see them grab Tavon Austin & Geno Smith if they are available. But this team just has so many holes. Goodson (and possibly Ivory) is just a stop-gap at RB. Their O-Line is quickly falling apart. They have no playmakers on offense (RB, WR, or TE). No QB. They have no pass-rus...

Re: Stewart's worth in pure picks

I get that Stewart is a polarizing figure, but I don't think he's a safer asset than a 1st round draft pick. Stewart is 4-5 years older than most rookies, and he's already played 5 seasons in the league. Only 2 of those seasons has he even been moderately reliable. And he's yet to show that he can s...
