Re: *MYTH* Lamar Jackson will never be a good passer

The rules don't stop those hits happening, took out Rodgers last year even with the rules in place. Of course they don’t stop all hits from happening as evidenced by so many roughing penalties. That said, for QB’s this season, diving forward is no different than sliding for a QB these days as it re...

Re: Miami Running Backs

Although wasn't this related to his offseason arrests that we already knew about? I always wondered why the NFL didn't suspend him for the offseason incident. It was obviously bad enough where the Bengals of all teams cut him, but for some reason, the NFL decided to wait this long? Seems kind of li...

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement

It's legal in Massachusetts too. I don't think it being legal or not is the problem, for Josh. “I know this is not a very popular idea. You don't hear it too often any more … but it's the truth. I have taken drugs before and … I had a real good time. Sorry. Didn't murder anybody, didn't rape anybod...

Re: Josh Gordon Reinstatement

Hurts DK in the short term I suppose? I don't think so. DK and Gordon will play outside. Lockett will operate primarily out of the slot, where he's been great. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, and I think it's a low-risk move for Seattle. Might as well see if they can make it work....

Re: My Favourite Story line of the year: Cam is done

I think people are missing the OP's point. Cam isn't a great QB and probably never was, but he'll still most likely get the starting job back from Kyle Allen once he's healthy. I'd certainly agree with all of that. Don't think Cam is great, but also don't believe that Allen has done anything to doo...

Re: Miami Running Backs

I’m holding ... I don’t expect much but he’s a bye week fill in for me this week and emergency RB rest of year. Same here. I am not expecting a ton of production, but at least he can be counted on as a starter for BYE's/injuries moving forward. Not a bad commodity to luck into at the trade deadline...

Re: My Favourite Story line of the year: Cam is done

Cam may have another 1-2 QB 10-12 seasons left in him, but I don't put his ceiling higher than that. I also wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't finish that well moving forward. He hasn't developed enough as a passer, and it's to his detriment. Lamar Jackson is a hot topic these days as to what type ...

Re: Kerryon Johnson Value

I can't find what the injury was. Was it a meniscus? He had surgery, but I can't find the details other than surgery and IR. I don't think they ever officially announced what the exact nature of his injury was. But based on surgery, and the statement from the team that he could be a candidate to re...

Re: RBBC in Kansas City

Whatever combo KC decides to go with in the backfield, I imagine they're at least going to try to emphasize the running game for the next month or so until Mahomes gets back. And in response we'll probably see defenses stacking the box, daring the Chiefs to try and beat them through the air. With M...

Re: The official Joe Mixon thread

It's a good thing he can sign elsewhere when he's only 25. At least he should be able to find his way to a better team, and health permitting, have a few good seasons on what hopefully will be a contender. I don't fault the player here, but rather the terrible organization he had the misfortune of b...

Re: Gronk retired

If he does come back, my guess is those holding will be a little underwhelmed. 31 years old, his 2017 season was the only notable campaign of his last three in the league, and he wouldn't be playing with a vintage era Brady. I don't imagine those who've held Josh Gordon through his ups-and-downs are...

Re: Gardner Minshew

The former Coug is throwing really well, and making pretty good decisions. His numbers should have been even better than they were if not for Westbrook having a uneven night. Jaguars brass have to be feeling pretty good about what they've seen so far. Fair to wonder though how things will play out m...
