Re: Do you operate with any self-imposed “Rules” in dynasty?

All right Prison Mike! Won't play in a veto league Me too. Did it once. Realized how unfair it was... which is ironic considering that "fairness" is supposedly the purpose of veto leagues. Had a veto rule for a year or two in one of my leagues. One of the owners outright told me "I vote no to any t...

Re: Value of Mid Firsts in 2020 (Depreciating asset?)

I can't remember a time where a 1st round pick was worth more in November than it was in April. It has happened. 2009 comes to mind when the 1.01 dropped in value. But the reason it happened is that there was no obvious elite talents in good landing spots. The OP was talking about the value of the ...

Re: Value of Mid Firsts in 2020 (Depreciating asset?)

For me, it sure seems that rookie drafts end up with a top elite tier, then the next tier is very big and spans into the second round. I'll bet it's the same for this class with that top tier being four, five or six players deep. If I'm you and have picks 6 and 7, I'd try to get into the top 4 once ...

^This.

In particular, I love the rookie draft. I think I'm better than average at it, though I don't want statistical proof as if I'm wrong, I'd rather live with the false bravado of thinking I'm right.

Re: Do you operate with any self-imposed “Rules” in dynasty?

Not mine, but I've run across prospective trade partners who have said "I won't trade with you because it will make your team too good". This happened consistently when my team was currently winning. My reaction is to bump them to the bottom of the order of owners I contact when I'm looking for a tr...

Re: The London Chargers?

They never should have left SD. The Chargers are (at best) the 2nd most popular team from the AFC West in LA, and are probably not in the top 15 league wide among the LA fanbase. How was this not seen coming by ownership groups and league officials, but it was blatantly obvious to people like us th...

Re: Mahomes Value in 1 QB League

The question is, is it only Mahomes you would do that for? Or would you do relatively similar deals for Watson, Lamar, and even Russ who is still fairly young? I'd probably do the same for Watson, though I value Mahomes more. Not so much for Lamar as I don't think he'll survive long term running th...

Re: Mahomes Value in 1 QB League

I'd consider dealing anyone except maybe the top five at RB & WR for Mahomes if my team is in a rebuild. I like the idea of having QB stability for the next decade, and likely elite production for most of those seasons. The question is, is it only Mahomes you would do that for? Or would you do rela...

Re: Keke Coutee - what did thou ever do to thee?

Coutee reminds me of a lot of young guys that flash then aren't heard from much again. Would be interesting to hear their coach's opinions on why.

Keelan Cole, Chris Givens, Rashard Higgins, Bryce Butler, Tajae Sharpe.

Alie-cox is a good speculative add. Don't see them signing Enbron again. Mo has had a few great catches over the past 2 years.
Doyle and Ebron are on expiring contracts I believe. Alie-Cox is a great stash.

Re: Dalvin Cook is a SPARQ turd. Should you be worried?

I have to say I have been very impressed by Dalvin Cook this season - and hopefully he has improved his conditioning enough to avoid those injuries that have crept up previously. Going to be interesting to see what guys like him are going to be worth compared to the 2020 RBs. Dalvin says he feels b...

Ingram has never had a huge workload. It wouldn’t surprise me if he maintained consistent production into his early 30’s.
I agree, but I think the Ravens may have a stab at an elite talent in the draft and won't be able to resist the low salary.
