Re: Week 14 Discussion

I'd make Dak's contract be a three year deal with a team option for the fourth at the longest. Maybe even go with a two year deal. takes two to tango (and at least three to swing). why would prescott be up for something like that? Guaranteed money. The chance to get an even bigger contract in two o...

Re: Allen Robinson - The Forgotten Stud?

When do we start valuing him in that tier of young, productive WR's like Diggs, Godwin, Cooper, Golladay, Kupp, etc...? Robinson is already there, no? I'd for sure take him over Diggs and Golladay, and Robinson is worth an early/mid 1st at least in most leagues. I haven't gotten close to that value...

Re: Week 14 Discussion

The problem with NOT paying Dak is that is it hard to get a QB as good as he is, even if you think he's average. You may spend the next few years churning through rookies & journeymen vets like Case Keenum until you hit. When you're team is in that QB search, you wish you had an average QB like Pre...

Re: Allen Robinson - The Forgotten Stud?

Super talented. I think most of his issues are the QBs and teams he's played on. I don't trust the Bears to fix the offense though. They have a very good RB in Montgomery too and don't know how to use him. I'm not a Trubisky guy, but he can be solid if they run more, use play action & bootlegs, and ...

Re: Potential Points (POLL) : Yay, nay, whatever?

Does do a lot to destroy any ideas owners might have of tanking or micro-tanking (a term I just made up) when they can't affect their pick by W/L record. Micro-tanking is a great term. I think this is what potential points handles that Phaded's policy ignores. His policy is to harshly deal with bla...

We also use ESPN and I don't think they track PP do they?
That is something that I hadn't thought about. Maybe most league hosting sites don't calculate this for you. That would be an impediment.

We use it to determine draft order as an anti-tanking measure. That's it.

Definitely don't think it should be used for determining any form of playoff seeding.
I've never seen it used for playoff seeding. It's great for non playoff team draft picks though.

Re: Has anyone tried to objectively define tanking?

Also, here's why potential points is not my cup of tea: last week I started Chris Godwin over James Washington. If we use potential points, I get a 12.1 point penalty for submitting a lineup that, prior to last week, looked like the correct decision? How is that fair? I don’t follow this at all - I...

Re: Under the Radar Free Agents

Blake Jarwin is a name I'm trying to stash where I can. He seems like one of the classic backup TEs that will get a spike in value in the offseason a la Dallas Goedert, Clive Walford, Virgil Green etc. He's on a lot of waiver wires right now, but I could see being able to sell Jarwin for a 2nd if W...

Re: Under the Radar Free Agents

The Colts have some big decisions at TE. Jack Doyle is an unrestricted free agent. Eric Ebron is an unrestricted free agent. Mo Alie-Cox is the only TE under contract next season, but I'm not sure of that. He has a reserve/futures contract and I don't know if that's a one year contract or what. My g...

Re: Has anyone tried to objectively define tanking?

The solution shouldn't be using potential points, it should be removing that owner if you are looking to implement consequences. Man, you really hate potential points. I think it's a great solution. In my back & forth with you, you've said that only egregious cases of tanking are addressed. Potenti...

Re: Last minute roster changes

I have a team that I think will be quite competitive after multiple seasons of tanking and stockpiling picks. 12 Team PPR 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/1Flex QB: Lamar RB: Barkley, Jacobs WR: DJ Moore, Chark, Hollywood, N'Keal, Deebo, Preston TE: Njoku, Hockenson, Fant '20 picks: 5 1's including 1.03 (mine), 1.0...

Re: Sleeper Platform

I created a copy of my auction keeper league and ran that for a couple of weeks. Overall it was ok. Performed well. No place for player contracts or auction values, that would have to be done separately. I don't think it has all the features that dynasties want overall though I haven't given it a fu...
