Re: Tim Tebow to the Jags

If ten teams had lined up and offered him his old job, then I would say he was privileged. Meyer giving him a chance at a job is an old mentor giving him a final chance. All it takes is one coach. I do not understand the argument that Tebow isn’t privileged because “X” (insert arbitrary number for ...

Re: Tim Tebow to the Jags

I think he has a new job, TE, not QB. He's getting paid a lot less, the league minimum if he even makes the roster, with no signing bonus. Plus there's only one guy who would hire him, so not exactly privileged. I’d say someone hiring him, when no else would, is actually showing his privilege. We c...

Re: Tim Tebow to the Jags

Privileged? How about connected to his former college coach. Connections also get you jobs in the real world. Yes, underqualified candidates definitely get hired for jobs in the real world solely due to connections or privilege. I too would like to be really bad at my job, take 9 years off from doi...

Re: Najee Harris V. Ja'Marr Chase at 1.01 (knowing landing spots)

I agree the age isn't a dealbreaker but I do think you're under representing it some here. Just because a guy typically only lasts through their first contract (although that is more of a recent thing, maybe indicative of a really poor set of RB talent coming into the league for a few years) doesn'...

Re: Najee Harris V. Ja'Marr Chase at 1.01 (knowing landing spots)

Najee will also be 23.5 when the season starts, which means he'll be almost 28 at the expiration of his rookie deal. I know RBs are always a short window, but for context he's only 16 months younger than CMC, 11 months younger than Saquon and 22 months older than Taylor. If your argument for Najee ...

I’d keep lamb, but I’d also not trade lamb for 1.1.

Re: 1.2 on the block

I’ve got 1.2 and I wouldn’t take less than 3 future 1sts for it. Futures are so tough because if they are all late 1sts I’d feel sad I did the trade.

Re: Aaron Rodgers wants out?

Yeah, poor Aaron seeing his talents squandered on back to back 13-3 teams that both made the conference finals... It's ok to want a divorce if you feel like the relationship is no longer working for you. Aaron would rather go elsewhere. He's entitled to his feelings on the matter as a human and as ...

Re: Shop the team, or rebuild?

Now isn’t the time to try a rebuild. 2021 rookie picks are at their peak, so you’re not likely to get value for your vets. I’d wait and see how it goes for the season. Those vets will be producing and 2022 picks won’t be valued as much. If you think a rebuild is in your future, it shouldn’t matter ...

Re: Shop the team, or rebuild?

Appreciate all the input! Looking at ET, Harris, or Chase at 1.2. Definitely wish I had my pick next year, it’d make rebuilding a lot easier to get myself to do it.

Now that we know landing spots, who would you take at 1.2, and what would you hope to get back for Hopkins MT OBJ?

Re: Opinion: Travis Etienne is the best RB prospect since Barkley

But what about Jonathan Taylor? Are you suggesting we need a Marlon Mack kind of injury to get Etienne on the field? I don't think that's the case, but maybe I read your reply incorrectly. Yeah not the landing spot I was hoping for. I think it's a very good spot for Etienne if JRob wasn't already t...

Re: Thoughts on 2 Blockbusters

Trade 1 seems fine, but I think you then overpayed for Swift to make up that RB ground on trade 2. Maybe trade #2 will work out. But I'm pretty sure you lost value there (as in you could have traded for more). Not that I put all my faith in trade calculators but it did say that I won the deal by a ...

Re: 2021 Rookie Tiers

Exactly- giving up a year of pay and risking injury is only a smart vision if you’re clearly outclassed by the current group. Saying that you’re just as excited for these three doesn’t make sense; Harris and Etienne’s actions suggest that they know they aren’t as good as last year’s top backs. perc...
