As a guy who picked up a few shares of Eason in the middle rounds of some SF rookie drafts last year, I think they should give the kid a shot! Jacoby is definitely not the answer. Trading for a vet makes sense but it depends on how good of a price they could get.

I think you have some solid pieces but I don't think you're just one or two guys away from contending so I would just stay the course right now. Yeah, I took the deal but you're right that things are going to get grim really fast for this team, and not only at QB. I figure I'm gonna push this year and next and then see what happens; this one will probably be a long rebuild but if I ship the title one of those years it'll be worth it.
