Re: Melvin Gordon value

Don't have the numbers on hand but I remember reading that Lindsay is awful in pass pro which is why he kept ceding work. Per PFF among the worst in the league. Just cuz you're small and electric doesn't mean you're a great receiving back. I'd bet that Melvin Gordon is closer to Bell cow than commit...

Anyone willing to share some of their favorite podcasts for devy info? Just getting into the format myself. Not sure who to trust yet when it comes to scouting these guys.
Follow Greg Brandt, devy warehouse on twitter. Scroll thru the TL and they put out good pods.

Re: Duke Johnson's worth now

As a Duke owner I'm honestly glad they traded for an injury prone washed up vet. Only a matter of time now.

Re: The Most Over-Rated 2020 Rookie RB Is... Jonathan Taylor

The surest way to communicate that you are over thinking things and have a bad process is by saying you have Taylor outside your top 5. Frankly a ridiculous opinion.

Re: Jonathan Taylor is your 1.01 now.

CMC, Mixon, Alvin Kamara, and Dalvin Cook were all taken after Leonard Fournette. The NFL seems to get it wrong as often as they get it right. Draft stock matters but only to a point. I really don't care if Taylor is the 2nd or 3rd RB off the board - that has zero bearing on where I draft him. The t...

"I would say his running style is more tough and physical than elusive and explosive. No-nonsense efficient downhill runner. Runs hard and competes. Not powerful though. Difference between tough and physical, and strong and powerful, and I'm not sure he's powerful, so I'm wondering if he truly surv...

Re: Kerryon Johnson vs 2020 Class

Detroit wants 2 RBs. Kerryon got too many touches last year because they didn't have a good banger. Kerryon needs to be in the 12-13 rushes, 4-6 targets per game range, to provide RB2 value. They can have another guy as a banger between the tackles to keep Kerryon fresh. Didn't panic when they broug...

Re: J.K. Dobbins 1.01?

After listening to this Ross Tucker podcast featuring Greg Cosell ... https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ross-tucker-football-podcast-nfl-podcast/id638447093?i=1000467636000 ... I have Dobbins RB5. "Physical running style. Tough, hard runner. But he doesn't run with power." How does that translat...

In order, and in tiers...
Tier 1: Taylor, Swift
Tier 2: Dobbins, Akers, CEH, Lamb, Jeudy
Tier 3: Jefferson, Ruggs, Raegor, Burrow
Tier 4: Tua, Dillon, Moss, Gibson, McFarland, Mims, Higgins

For anyone who was worried about Dobbins speed, because Simmons was gaining a bit of ground on him at the end of his 68 yard TD run......Simmons just ran a 4.39. Yikes
:surprised:
Was that before or after he got his ankle wrapped? I can't remember.

Re: Jonathan Taylor is your 1.01 now.

I 100% get where you’re coming from. That’s the “prototypical frame” that many of the older RB’s have had and have done well with. Even with Kamara after his rookie year a lot of people doubted him. Then CMC broke out the following year, and Cook last year. I think I’ve seen enough in the modern da...

Re: Jonathan Taylor is your 1.01 now.

I'll tag in. Kmani, your points are completely valid. All these NFL folks still have Swift projected higher than Taylor in terms of draft stock and "pro grade". Lance Zierlein has been doing this longer than us and is better, and he has Swift higher, and not merely by a hair. The original point was ...
