Re: Mahomes new deal

:wtf:  I can't see the "next man up" thing happening after this. The next QB isn't getting this. So you're saying Dak isn't close to 500 mil? :D Not Dak but there will absolutely be a QB in the next four to five years who crosses this --especially when the NFL gets its new TV contract after ...

Re: Mahomes new deal

I've mentioned this numerous times, but the highest cap hit for a Super Bowl winning QB in the entire salary cap era is 13.1% and that was Steve Young in year 1. I love Mahomes and understand you had to do it from a PR standpoint. However, if he continues to play at a high level and they don't win a...

Re: Clyde Edwards-Helaire is your new 1.01

In PPR, I don't see how you don't take CEH at #1. I have JT as the 1.01 in .5 PPR and standard, but in PPR the top 2 leading rushers in the NFL finished at RB5 and RB7 respectively because neither Henry nor Chubb catch a lot of passes. Nothing wrong with those guys, but I don't think they have a ch...

Re: For those who find sustained success in leagues

Knowing your league and league mates is what separates the potential contenders and the bottom feeders. Each league is different and knowing how your league and other owners value positions/players/picks etc is huge. For example: I've got an owner in a 1QB (14 team) who loves QBs. Rosters no less th...

Re: Active Trading

Most have already been mentioned, but I hate the guy that every time he is on the clock, he sends out the group text "looking to trade this pick, looking for _______". Then when that offer doesn't come after a few hours another mass text follows "still looking to trade, now asking _______". If you h...

Re: What do we do if there is no NFL 2020 season?

People care more about money and the economy than the pandemic though. That is largely accurate. Every risk has a perceived value that makes the risk tolerable. Drinking, smoking, and driving will all continue to kill more than this virus, yet we still sell alcohol and cigarettes at an alarming rat...

Re: 2021 Draft Pick Valuation - Discounted or Pumped Up?

Unless your rookie draft is before the actual NFL draft, then I really don't think this matters. The consensus top 9 players drafted this year in FF are 5 RBs drafted in round 1 and 2 and 4 WRs taken in round 1 of the NFL draft. As much as we like to tout our own scouting abilities the NFL draft dic...

Re: 2020 BAD Trade Offers

I give: Tyreek Hill and Saquon Barkley

I get: Late 2020 first and 2nd and late 2021 first and 2nd

This is also a salary cap league where both Hill and Barkley are cost controlled for the next 2 seasons for less than 10% of our cap combined.

Re: Tiers in the rookie draft?

Assuming 1QB, there seems to be some clear lines being drawn if you look at completed drafts. Obviously you will have some variance, but the majority of drafts seem to be shaping up this way: Tier 1: CEH/JT Tier 2: Dobbins/Swift/Akers/Jeudy/Lamb Tier 3: Justin Jefferson/Reagor Tier 4: Ruggs/Mims/Vau...

Re: Pick your Four!

Mixon, Cook, and Kamara are all easy choices to me. Once RBs get off their rookie deal, things tend to go south, and all 3 of these guys are entering the last year of their deal. Mixon - Shocked he is top 10 now and I can think of a few RBs I would rather have over the next 3 years than Mixon. I wou...

Re: Flipping players

When it comes to trading and evaluations everything depends on your league and the owner/team you are dealing with. I'm all about value and making deals/picks that increase the overall value of my roster. For example, when Baker was exploding the back half of his rookie deal, I ended up trading Bake...

Re: Is Reagor the top WR to get in 2020?

Surprised to see multiple people tout Philly as a great landing spot. Last year, more than half of Wentz’s passes (53.2% to be exact) went to TEs and RBs. With Ertz remaining highly productive and Sanders and Goedert ascending, I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I’m also pretty sure I read/hea...

Re: Ke'Shawn Vaughn?

I don't love Vaughn, but I do think his late first/early 2nd round price tag is fair. After the top 5 RBs and the first round WRs, you can lump Higgins/Mims/Pittman/Vaughn/Edwards/Aiyuk/Burrow (assuming 1 QB) into a bag for me and I wouldn't argue too much with the order they were selected. I took V...
