Re: Somewhat early 2024 Draft thread
Word on the street is that the Texans initiated that trade. It's possible the Vikings aren't planning on a move up. I think they are, but who knows. Would love to see a source on that. As for the latter... https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39808009/kevin-oconnell-justin-jefferson-loop-vikings-qb-...

Re: Somewhat early 2024 Draft thread
Side note: Is anyone else wondering why the Jets aren’t in the QB market? They literally lost Rodgers 4 plays into last season. He’s old as f*ck. But they’re acting like they’re set at the position. Did they learn nothing from last year? It’s sad to see that roster wasted year after year with crap ...

Re: GEDL 2 Early Superflex Rookie Draft
Interesting. The 1QB GEDL draft let AD Mitchell slide to 1.12. Here in the GEDL Superflex, the Pickle Pirates jump up to grab him 1.10. (After taking Brian Thomas at 1.09) That guy knows ball. I am pickle pirates. I started draft with 3 mid/early thirds, the 1.04,1.10, and 1.12. I ended up with: Ol...

Re: Somewhat early 2024 Draft thread
Or… maybe they like Nix or Penix and think they will be there at 23. They just wanted to get into the first round to get the fifth year option, something the Titans tried and failed to do during the draft last year. I think this is unlikely, but it does fit the data available. I'll push back here. ...

Re: Somewhat early 2024 Draft thread
So last year the Cardinals were caught tampering when they hired away an Eagles coach. The Cards had to swap thirds in 2023 and give the Eagles a this year 5th. The NFL kind of hid that by announcing it on the morning of draft day. Anyone think the Falcons will have to make a similar concession to ...

Re: 2024 Free Agency
It is. Seems like a better deal than the Ridley one though, and doing it before JJ, CD, etc probably saved them some money It ought to be a better deal than the Ridley one. Ridley was a UFA. Eagles had leverage. But smith is way younger and better than Ridley imo It's true - but as tstafford is say...

Re: Best Landing Spots for Bowers
Obviously someone cared enough to offer THEIR opinion which is what the OP was wanting to hear. As for literally having our answer in 12 days I'd disagree. Bowers might go to the worst situation for him. What if Pittsburgh drafts Bowers? The new OC there had no clue how to utilize Pitts. Back on to...

Re: Best Landing Spots for Bowers
The best spot would be the Rams. Bowers skillset as the successor to the Cooper Kupp role would be seamless.
But it's not likely he falls that far, and we really shouldn't be worried anyway. Like honestly, who cares?
We'll literally have our answer in 12 days.

Re: Rashee Rice or Justyn Ross?
I raced on the highway as a kid. It was dumb of me. I learned better. Hopefully no one wishes me dead I don't know, did you do 120mph in and out of traffic in a 70 zone through busy traffic, cause multiple accidents and injuries then walk away like you just finished an amusement park ride? You're r...

Re: Brandon Aiyuk: on the move...?
For sure. I do think teams have creative ways around the cap so if SF think’s Ayuik is toxic , they need to work it out. They have a great mix and realistically are the top of the NFC. If they get rid of him, they certainly have a plan to replace him. Aiyuk wanting a proper contract is not "to...

Re: Brandon Aiyuk: on the move...?
If SF holds out for a 1st, that could kill any deal. The report is a mid-1st + a player. Hard to see him getting moved at that price, but I think once we have the draft rolling, we might easily see it at a late 1st or even early 2nd - if SF likes who they're seeing on the board at that present pick.

Re: Brandon Aiyuk: on the move...?
Such a non story. Aiyuk is under contract. Team can franchise him next year. He is going nowhere unless the team decides to move him which they have no reason to at this point. (Except that SF has outright set a price that other teams have been unwilling to pay so far) There is at least some fuel t...
