Re: Isaiah Hodgins: Miracle Near the Hudson
Now that the dust has settled on (most of) free agency and the draft, it feels like Hodgins comes out of this as possibly the top WR on the Giants? Maybe not the top pass catcher with Waller at TE. Curious to see how folks here are evaluating Hodgins at this point.

Re: Kadarius Toney Thread
Whatever the cause of Toney's lack of snaps, or Daboll's grand plans: it would seem to be in Daboll's advantage to at least see what he has with Toney. For that reason, I'm not too panicky at this point.

Re: Gruden Resigning as Raiders HC
Bad news for everyone on offense except maybe Jacobs. Once the offensive system is completely overhauled (maybe not till next season) I think Waller falls off a cliff. Hard to tell with Carr, but at some point he'll be traded. Good news that he's been kicked to the curb. Admittedly a Waller owner h...

Re: Anthony Schwartz
With Landry a likely cut candidate in '22 ($1.5 million dead cap and $15 million approx cap savings), any thoughts on who may ascend to the #2 in Cleveland? Had an eye on Schwartz with that in mind.

Re: Bye Week Solution??
I will always applaud outside-the-box thinking. So, applause! While this proposal would not address your problem at all, I think a more realistic set-up would have two bye weeks in an 18 or 19 week NFL season, with the byes purposely structured to ensure that almost every team playing on Thursday ni...

Re: Devin Singletary
No knock on Sanders' receiving skills, but I think Singletary has the opportunity to work in the passing game. The current state of the Bills offense (developing QB) and game flow (dominant defense) is, in my opinion, driving a very heavy run-first offense. Singletary has played 8 games, and he actu...

Re: Austin Ekeler Value
Gordon was back today, and Ekeler did almost nothing in the running game.......but he had 15 catches. 15. I know it's an anomaly, but it just shows this kid is a really versatile back and nobody should be selling him for a 2nd. And he did nothing with them as the Chargers lost with a horrible offen...

Re: The Curious Case of Adam Shaheen: Prognosis?
From a Bears fan perspective here: the biggest problem with Shaheen is that if you like the situation, he's entering free agency after the 2020 season. The Bears' impending cap crunch might actually work in his favor from a dynasty perspective in that he might be a cheap option for the Bears to resi...

Re: Nagy on Montgomery: “whole package... hands... three down back... everything we’re looking for”
I guess those three would be less costly, so you can save some cap space. But I would argue you are also going with lesser talent at each of those spots too. Right, there's no guarantee of a drop-off, but I think given the cap limitations the Bears have right now, these picks represent a bit of a g...

Re: Nagy on Montgomery: “whole package... hands... three down back... everything we’re looking for”
I'm mostly saying this from the philosophy of not drafting a RB early unless they are elite. I don't know the Bears roster front and back, but I would think their O-line and corners for one, could at least use some depth, if not improved talent. All teams need depth and have starters on expiring co...

Re: Hyde - what's he worth now?
Assuming that Williams is NOT the starter and jumping on this Hyde logic train is some sketchy business. Here is the flowchart you should be following: Hunt is gone Williams was the starter and performed Williams is the starter Hyde was signed to backup or compete Williams is the starter until he i...

Re: Hyde - what's he worth now?
I don’t need to read any further than what you wrote about Breida being worse/less efficient in 2017... Hyde 2017: 240/938yds, 3.9ypc, 8td. 88/59rec, 350yds, 5.9ypr, 0td. Breida 2017: 105/465yds, 4.4ypc, 2td. 36/21rec, 180yds, 8.6ypr, 1td. You can try to whip up wild narratives excusing Hyde’s terr...

Re: Spencer Ware (and rest of KC backfield) 2019 outlook
I don't see the chiefs making a run at bell...not b/c of the money but because I don't think andy reid would not want that kind of "me-first" player that could cause a distraction. He learned his lesson with TO back in the day and seems to be about building a culture in KC, exhibit A bein...

Re: Spencer Ware (and rest of KC backfield) 2019 outlook
This is a fun, if not utterly unknowable, topic to discuss. I have a share of Darrel Williams that is fun to dream about, if nothing else. A few factors that I see coming into play: - The Chiefs currently have $42 million in cap space for 2019, about middle of the pack. I am not a Chiefs fan and am ...

Corey Clement Long-Term
How are people viewing Clement long-term? With Ajayi an unrestricted free agent after this year and his current injury, my guess is the Eagles do not re-sign him this offseason. Obviously we'll see what Clement does this year, but I'm curious if people see him as growing beyond a complementary RB pi...
