Re: QB Passing Touchdown Length Percentage Analysis
If we sort the players by percentage changed; ... This post was really eye-opening and a real damper on the QB class this year. The only one to break the mold is a golden rusher, a mold breaker. The rookies have to bust this statistical trend, break the mold. It's not a really compelling reason (fo...

Re: QB Passing Touchdown Length Percentage Analysis
So this metric seems pretty solid for rounds 1-3. But what about day 3 QBs. Went through the past 5 years of rookie classes plus this years, for rounds 4-7. Basically, it does tend to identify the better day 3 QB's, but it also includes a lot of trash with it as well. But I think you could at least ...

Need 1-2 owners for 12 TM - SF/TE PREM Startup
Still ironing out the rules, but will be 12 TM, SF, TE PREM, at least 10 starting roster spots. $50 buy in each year. MFL, League safe. Most members are from DLF. Active owners, we use groupme for the league chat.

Re: Draft Capital v Pre Draft Ranking v Landing spot help
You might need to clarify your draft capital comments, because draft capital is a major factor. For example, if a player I like falls to day 3, you better bet I’m re-evaluating my life decisions Also you have a typo, I’m sure you meant to type this but JJMC was QB5. In general, I think I agree with ...

Re: Why is it such a pain in the a** to trade with people?
I’m in a 16 team league where every owner rapid fire uses their draft picks. By the time it takes me to send an offer (I’ll send an offer the second they’re otc) they immediately spam a draft pick. It’s infuriating. I could offer the biggest overpay and they’ll ignore and fire off a pick. Edit: I sh...

Re: Penix Superflex Question
Id take him for sure. he was picked 8 overall he aint sitting 3 or 4 years. and i doubt after 2 years an owner is gonna go oh hes about to start and people are interested let me sell for less than what i paid Right. And if people are willing to sell him for less, because he looks bad, then why do y...

Re: QB Passing Touchdown Length Percentage Analysis
So, if I’m reading this right, this entire QB class (except for Penix) gets a mark against them on this data point? I know there is the caveat that this is one data point and we don’t want to fade them based on just this, but is that kinda what this is pointing to? Or maybe just that Penix is being...

Re: QB Passing Touchdown Length Percentage Analysis
Went through every QB drafted rounds 1-3 since about 2010. As I suspected, the data isn't *quite* as nice as before, but it's still heavily slanted. I tried to classify the players Green = Stud Blue = Long-term franchise QB Black = Middling/Unsure/TooSoon Red = Bust Quarterbacks that decreased the a...

Re: QB Passing Touchdown Length Percentage Analysis
Great insights everyone. I think you guys hit all the main points. It's likely one of, all of, or some sort of combination between these 3 things; 1) The Quarterback could be improving on his ability to drive down the field and get to the redzone in the first place 2) The Quarterback could be improv...

Re: Who is this year's Puka?
Just saying it’s not like he came out of nowhere like Puka. While Puka was unexpected related to his DC. He had some really nice stats relating to WR that we use in our analytics. Top PFF grade of all the WR in his class. Top YPRR out of the class. With just those 2 stats, shouldn't we have paid mo...

Re: Not at all early 2025 Draft thread
So I picked Singleton at 5, and I was looking at Ollie Gordon, and he was intriguing, but his speed was what concerned me a bit. I don’t think there’s any way he runs in the 4.4s. You’re hoping he runs a 4.5x, and 4.5s can be perfectly fine too, but then the margin for error is shrinking. His game ...

Re: QB Passing Touchdown Length Percentage Analysis
Not sure its a quantifiable metric but it is interesting. What constitutes a long Touchdown? Are you looking only at TD's actually caught in the end zone given a 5 yard pass could result in an 80 yard TD which would skew a result I would think. In the pros QB's barely have time so a five step drop ...
