Re: Somewhat early 2024 Draft thread
How is stuff like this allowed to go to print? This is USA Today, or an affiliate of? How does someone get paid to write with such a lack of understanding of the game of football? https://patriotswire.usatoday.com/lists/full-7-round-2024-nfl-mock-draft-chargers-send-qb-justin-herbert-patriots-mega-...

Re: Somewhat early 2024 Draft thread
FWIW his 40 looks a lot more like a 4.5 than a 4.34. https://twitter.com/jacoblogginsnba/status/1773035579606720806?s=46 Doesn't change a thing, of course. The tape is the tape. Seen someone else say 4.38-4.45, via the video. I think anything in that range is excellent. OBJ was a 4.43 for example. ...

Re: 2024 Off-Season Trades
I've seen this happen a lot too. I'm theorizing a bit...but , I think that's why it's important to keep solid relationships with your leaguemates. The "come to senses" can sometimes be that they just liked the other manager more than you and were more willing to deal with them, even if it...

Re: Somewhat early 2024 Draft thread
via Winks: Testing and advanced stats is great and all, but Draft Capital remains the biggest of the big kahuna burgers when we talk about WR's and predictive models. That isn't true though when you break down WR's into subgroups. Shorter and taller WR's are not the same. Valhalla's thread about BM...

Re: Somewhat early 2024 Draft thread
via Winks: The key thing with WR draft modeling is that once you add in draft capital, every stat from our spreadsheets add almost zero predictive power. Eat Arby’s. Re: Somewhat early 2024 Draft thread
Maybe not the place for it, but I've been thinking that analytical/statistical modeling of incoming rookies may become increasingly difficult to do in the future. For the top draft eligible players, they've already been informed by NFL scouting departments what kind of draft grade they're sitting o...

Re: Somewhat early 2024 Draft thread
Not that Williams was a bad prospect or something, but I just don't ever remember him looking like Harrison or being talked about as a similar level of prospect. He's been marked as the favorite to be the first non QB off the board for two straight years and we've seen nothing to make us question t...

Re: Bryce Young + 25 1st for Justin Herbert
Bryce young is a bust. What an incredible deal I dont think this is fair at all. Its been one season people, but yes this is an easy accept Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. I saw a post on Reddit that rookie qbs who get sacked at the rate young did overwhelmingly turn into busts. Sacks are a QB stat ju...

Re: Trying to get 1.01 in Superflex TEP
Just my 2 cents but I wouldn’t be in a rush to package up a bunch of high value picks and players to get the 1.01, especially on a rebuild. You got all those picks somehow, keep your advantage. In this format, where qbs and TEs are super valuable, and they increase the value of all draft picks, if y...

Re: 2024 Off-Season Trades
I thought it was 1QB then saw SF 😳 Yeah, this guy is completely gutting his team for some odd reason. My starters are pretty good now, but my depth at QB/RB is not great. Burrow Carr Etienne Walker Lamb Waddle DK DJM Aiyuk LaPorta Pitts Anyway, this (below) is the trade he did before mine, which I ...

Re: Greenbay TEs going forward?
I think Musgrave is going to be "the starter" until something happens, but overall I think Kraft is probably the better and more consistent TE.
