Re: Draft Capital v Pre Draft Ranking v Landing spot help

Yeah, and NFL teams still miss often enough even with all that draft capital that we ought to be skeptical . And if a guy transitions well with enough talent to play despite being a later pick is going to get on the field. There’s literally tons of empirical evidence in both cases. I’m the guy who ...

Re: Draft Capital v Pre Draft Ranking v Landing spot help

Draft capital would be fourth on my list and is not very high in my process. I firmly believe that the value of draft capital declines severely as soon as the pads go on, and coaches who want to keep their jobs are going to put their best players on the field. It only takes one team to like a playe...

Re: Draft Capital v Pre Draft Ranking v Landing spot help

Many, many more thoughts from Hayden Winks on predictive modelling vs. draft capital here. From the article you posted: "As always, declaring early is also another very good sign regardless of production. Players get feedback from scouts on if they are good enough to leave, so we should take n...

Re: Draft Capital v Pre Draft Ranking v Landing spot help

Good insight… that probably explains a large portion of those who use over-use draft capital , but there are others who aren’t influenced as much but weave it in as part of a formula. Interested in their thoughts. You might need to clarify your draft capital comments, because draft capital is a maj...

Re: What are people doing with Justin Fields, buying or selling?

There's no way any team is that moronic to have their backup QB returning kicks even with the new rules.

Re: Who is this year's Puka?

Here's the list so far Cowing x 2 MWashington x 3 Rice Corley x 2 Franklin x 2 Ryan Flournoy JBaker x 3 RWilson I just don't see the path to playing time for Washington/gaining a lot of targets unless we're banking on Waddle to get injured again like he always does Two thoughts, he'll start as WR3 ...

TheTroll wrote: Thu May 02, 2024 4:46 am How does this differ from air yards? I mean there is a 50 yd bomb for a TD and a 10 yd slant with 40 YAC. Both equal a 50 yd TD but the later is much more common.
My first thought too. It's an interesting premise for sure. I think air yards would help close a key gap here.

Re: Who is this year's Puka?

Sure but in that list of top PFF scores many of those poped last year (puka, Dell, Douglas, Rice, Downs). Not saying everyone is good, but you can find guys that may exceed their draft position. Most ppl didn't like Rice for example. I mean in the 4th why not take a dart throw at a random player wi...

I think they're holding until his free agency at the absolute worst.

Re: Not at all early 2025 Draft thread

So I picked Singleton at 5, and I was looking at Ollie Gordon, and he was intriguing, but his speed was what concerned me a bit. I don’t think there’s any way he runs in the 4.4s. You’re hoping he runs a 4.5x, and 4.5s can be perfectly fine too, but then the margin for error is shrinking. His game ...

Re: Post NFL Draft.. Draft

Agree, I don't see it, and watched a ton of FSU football. Coleman is huge, but his best attribute is YAC (based on film, would be interesting to see what the stats say). He was so good with the ball in space, FSU put him on Punt Return duty. Guys is a Big Slot. If he can play that role, and not get...

Re: Who is this year's Puka?

First of all, don't listen to these losers. If you have a 4th round pick and you use it, you are in fact Chasing Dragons. We all wanna find the Puka. Brendon Rice Don't over draft. But if you have a 4th, add him. With 7th round draft capital, nobody will be taking him above the 4th. In that WR room...

Re: Who is this year's Puka?

Every 4th round player is a flier. The guy that stood out, but IDK if he's a flier/sleeper is Conley being the YAC king. I'm talking about analytics. Cowing was another guy that had elite analytics. Puka had elite YPRR (2.75). Look at this— Now let’s look at the 𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝟭𝟬 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗪𝗥’𝘀 in 𝗬𝗣𝗥𝗥: (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗗...

Re: Post Draft top 12 1 QB

Dude what are you talking about, this is the quote I replied to,. "Yes, the NFL is giving more opportunities to smaller WR's. However, the average weight of the 2024 WR class was still 196 pounds. Xavier weighs 30 pounds less than that. To say that isn't a factor is hard for me to get on board...
