Re: Predictions for the Draft

I should have also stated, and I didn’t study 4th round rbs in particular, but in general, day 2 rbs are far better bets than day 3 rbs. I don’t have the exact numbers on 3rd vs 4th round though. To back this up, the Athletic did a study a few years ago looking at where Pro Bowlers come from at eac...

Re: Xavier Legette is your 1.1 now!

Good:
+ Got 1st round pedigree and a trade up

Bad:
- Came from the team that drafted Mingo six spots after a year ago

Half kidding with the last one.

Re: Post Draft top 12 1 QB

Yeah, I don't see any way that Worthy is not a 1st rounder in rookie drafts, though it wasn't really clear if these are our own rankings or how we think drafts will go. KC has been sketchy with evaluating WR talent though outside of Rice. Worthy is very different though from what they usually pick....

Re: Post Draft top 12 1 QB

That's what it feels like in 1QB after the first round. There's just a drastic dropoff in quality. I love these kinds of drafts. I see some opportunity for significant reward for those willing to dig deeper in their research. Yeah, I mean I haven’t done a deep dive on every rookie. I’m more speakin...

Re: Post Draft top 12 1 QB

Idk where to post this but I’m doing a SF rookie draft and for about 24 picks you feel spoiled for choice, after that it’s like a barren turd wasteland. Usually I have some targets in the 3rd and even 4th rounds but this year it’s like great depth until around pick 24 and then it’s turd central. Th...

Re: George Pickens, where did we go wrong?

I don't have a concern that Pickens can't produce against a #1 corner. I think Mild's point is correct. Go back and look at what the top WRs in an Arthur Smith offense have done. It's just so much inconsistency and passing volume is always way below the league average. That's the concern you should ...

Re: Not at all early 2025 Draft thread

PFF's Way Too Early, Doesn't Matter Top-50: 7: Luther Burden, WR 9: Tet McMillan, WR 10: Travis Hunter, WR/CB 11: Carson Beck, QB 13: Shedeur Sanders, QB 16: Colston Loveland, TE 19: Emeka Egbuka, WR 21: Ollie Gordon, RB 24: Quinshon Judkins, RB 31: Evan Stewart, WR 32: Quinn Ewers, QB 33: Mitchell ...

Re: Not at all early 2025 Draft thread

Curios what folks think about Travis Hunter as a devy selection in non-IDP. Feels kind of risky. It's risky regardless, because nobody really knows what position he'll focus on yet. I think his receiving and coverage grades on PFF are basically identical. I think WR makes more sense from a business...

Tucker had one of the best statistical profiles for a UDFA in a while.

Blake Watson is the name that I keep seeing the most. Cody Schraeder is also a good mention.

Re: Predictions for the Draft

So who is your Puka this year? A guy you can grab in the 4th with huge upside? Right now I'm thinking Malik Washington. I don't see how Washington would do anything there with Waddle and Hill. I don't think they're looking to carve out WR3 volume for anyone. I like Cowing the best of the long shots...

Re: George Pickens, where did we go wrong?

Pittsburgh's offseason: - Signed a veteran QB, who's probably cooked as a high volume passer - Traded for a young QB, who has question marks as a high volume passer - Traded their best route runner and separator, and didn't replace him with anyone comparable - Used 3 of their first 4 draft picks on...

Re: Predictions for the Draft

Posting for no reason. Absolutely no reason at all. https://twitter.com/josephperson/status/1784355965195669630 GM speak 101 Sure. Orrrrr... a three headed monster on a bad offense with the rookie in question recovering from an ACL surgery. Doesn't sound like a fast start to me. And you might want ...
