Re: Orphan Teams vs. Dispersal Draft

If it's a regular old vanilla PPR dynasty league (no fancy variants, no contracts, no salaries, etc.) I mostly favor using a dispersal if more than one team is getting a new owner, but only including the new team. When there are contracts or other variants that make the league more complex, I do lik...

Re: I'm getting ROASTED, how bad did I lose this trade?

If you ask me, and this applies to a LOT of things in football, trades in dynasty are often a lot like draft picks in the NFL. You often don't really know if you won or lost for a year or more. If you happen to get yourself an elite talent at 1.01 this year, I don't see how it's that bad in a 1QB l...

Re: Tyreek investigation

I wrote about this for the site awhile back , and mentioned Hill in the article. What I was able to find out at the time was many thought he was a model citizen after the incident. Showed remorse, owned up to it, went through the process with no complains et cetera. That is FAR from true with many ...

Re: Tannehill to Titans

I'd say it's a lot like the outcomes of the draft - with trades like this you don't really know for a year or more if it was good for either or both sides. At first blush, I like it for both. I like it for Miami just based on the $ savings alone, and it seems obvious they need to go in a new directi...

Re: Monday Night Worries and watches- share

I need 27.65 from the combo of Julio and Freeman tonight. Last season I would already be celebrating, but this year Julio has managed to put up some poor numbers at times. And my experience in fantasy tells me nothing is ever guaranteed. But I am fairly hopeful.

Re: Victory Points and bad outcomes

As a member of that league, I think I've been pretty clear that we may need to rethink the overall way VPs work within divisions. And what is really the harmful factor here (IMO) isn't that we use VPs, but that we are also split into divisions. Divisional play leads us to use a division weighted sch...

Re: DLF Premium League Draft and Discussion

I'm an owner that isn't afraid to move picks if I think they will help my team. So I often find myself in the position I was in here - sitting in a rookie draft without a whole lot of capital in it. I also send out quite a few trade offers, but have to admit that it's more difficult for me to get de...

Especially considering he also did it as a Type 1 Diabetic. That's no joke. I don't know how Houston doesn't try to bring him on, he could make Nuk magic, if you ask me.

Re: O.J. Howard, Where would you take him?

I think the way we evaluate tight ends for fantasy purposes is a little skewed, and its faults lead to what we see as "long development time." The thing is, we love the physical freaks that are both really big and can run really fast, the guys that we think could blow up offensively. The p...

Since it's a half point ppr, I think I prefer the Bell side now and in the future.

Re: Waivers mistake.

Agreed, have you tried talking to the Commish directly? That would be my move, and if I didn't get a reasonable outcome out of that I'd consider leaving the league. And shouldn't every playoff team that missed Arob be a little ticked right now? Maybe you can get their support.

Re: Can keep 3, are these the right ones?

Even cheap, I'm not sure I'm interested in holding on to Tevin Coleman when I only have 3 keeper slots. So far the guy just can't stay on the field, and the longer it goes on the more I feel like he's never going to be more than second fiddle in Atlanta.

Re: Crowell/duke jr

I'm a huge fan of Duke, I was a fan of him last year (and drafted him), and I'm a fan of him now. I think if he gets a shot at a 3 down role, he will do very well. He was one of my favorite running backs on tape coming out of college, and in that tape I saw a guy that could do anything, run anywhere...
