Re: Collusion/Tanking - Feedback Please
Another point that was glossed over: neither owner bothered to give a reasonable rational explanation. Some examples: Boom/bust (DeSean comes to mind) Better on home/road Nagging injury (I sat DeSean last week because I was worried his trick hammy would flare up in the 1st quarter and give me a 0) R...

Re: Collusion/Tanking - Feedback Please
1. Comparing this to a scenario of benching Peterson to Powell to get into the championship is not valid. One scenario is where winning is the desired outcome, and another is when losing is the desired outcome. The context of whether winning is desirable or not is the most important piece of the sto...

Re: collusion, tanking and rant
This is more of a general point for others to take note of, because there's no defense of such obvious tanking/collusion. If I'm team B, and I'm paying attention, I'm filing a protest before the game (Friday/Saturday/Sunday morning). You definitely need to keep a close watch for things like this tow...

Count me as someone who was guarded this offseason and had him in the WR7-8 type range, and now would probably take him #1 overall. And I don't own him anywhere either, although I did offer Gronk for him straight up in the offseason and got turned down.

Re: Melvin Gordon
Getting back on track, I think Gordon looked OK via the eye test. The main problem in my subjective view was the game script was rarely in his favor. Weeks 5-14 Rivers has averaged 45 pass attempts (and how many more plays were dropbacks not resulting in an attempt). Gordon never looked like the typ...

Re: Teddy Bridgewater
I guess it comes down to expectations and context as it often does. If you're in the standard 12 team 1 QB league and he's your backup, then yeah he's fine, and at least your backup QB is young. If he's your starting QB and you were expecting him to grow into a top 6 fantasy QB (above average starte...

Re: Who is forced to start Spiller this week?
I'll have the West/Spiller decision too (next week thankfully due to a bye). Right now my view is West=high floor/low ceiling and Spiller=low floor/high ceiling. 4for4 has West quite a bit ahead of Spiller, but I think that if I was forced to decide I'd reluctantly go with Spiller. And wonder what I...

Re: Teddy Bridgewater
Maybe it's from being a Bears fan and getting sick of hearing the never ending list of excuses for Cutler for his first 5 years, but I usually have a problem with things like this: O-line is bad Then you get a better O-line and the WR/TE aren't good enough Then that improves and the running game is ...

Re: URGENT:Clinched Bye, bench starters to impact draft spot
1. Yes you have to play your (reasonably arguable) best lineup. In fact if there isn't a statement in your rules to this effect there should be. It's standard. 2. As others have said, don't forget that you'd be screwing over a 3rd person out of the playoffs who has nothing to do with this. I'd also ...

Re: Allen Robinson for Keenan Allen + Matt Jones
For me Arob and Allen are a dead heat so it comes down to if you care about rostering Matt Jones over whoever you drop. Also I seem to remember Keenan still gets some punt return usage which might make a difference in your league.

Re: Injuries and the Depth Argument
In addition to starting requirements, also consider bench space. Leagues with 10 starting/10 bench spots are going to be more weighted toward the studs than 10 starting/15 bench spots. The idea being that in 10 starting/10 bench leagues you can replace your injury/bye week players with passable opti...

Re: Hopkins for Gurley
I love Gurley and probably like Hopkins a little less than the average person. I'd take Hopkins in this case just due to the format (PPR 1 RB) and what my personal strategy would be in this league. I'd be piecing together RB year to year (using a few extra roster spots on RBs) using backups and WW p...

Re: Does your league use conferences, divisions or both?
It's refreshing to see so many good posts on the subject, I expected most of them to be "I HATE DIVISIONS!!!" Personally I prefer them because every non-divisional matchup week I'm not only rooting for my team but against my division mates. When we had no divisions it was impossible to kno...

Re: Anyone buying Jordan Matthews?
Are people copying and pasting from year old Keenan Allen threads?
I kid, but the similarity is uncanny. I don't see what the point would be to trade Matthews for one late first which is exactly what the consensus was on Keenan for about 9 months from mid season 2014 through this offseason.

Re: Christine Michael
I thought he looked alright. Not spectacular but not bad either. If you just opened up the box score and didn't watch the game you might just divide 18 yds by 5 carries and declare your previous opinions confirmed though.
