Re: Fantasy vs Fandom?

I can't bench someone just because they are playing my team. It sucks watching the game, but if they are in a goal line stand and its more than likely going to be a touchdown, I would rather see it go to my player than anyone else. (disclaimer: right now as a Bears fan, I'm more likely to start anyo...

Re: Scoring

I'm a bit confused as to what the issue is to be honest. A fumble and a fumble returned for a TD are different statistics. Now if the ultimate goal was to penalize a player -6; then the fumble should be -2 and the TD should be -4. "Double dipping" is nothing new in fantasy statistics. If ...

Re: Acquiring JJ Watt

JJ watt, (and Kuechly for that matter) are incredibly tough between offense and defense trades. I think Dez for Watt straight up isn't a bad trade (given big play IDP league). The reason I would rather have a phenomenal IDP player over a phenomenal offense WR is because there are many other factors ...

Re: Stefon Diggs

Let's say I'm crazy like I am and willing to take the gamble that Diggs is the next breakout WR to crack the top 10. Would you trade Diggs straight up for Dez Bryant? I'm not disagreeing your valuations, and I think its a great gamble. But if you think you are going to get the good end of the deal ...

Re: No love for Smokin' Jay?

As Bears fan who doesn't like drafting QB's early at all; I always end up getting stuck with Cutler, and I'm OK with it. If fantasy and real life football only counted points for the first half, Cutler would be one of the best QB's in the league. but I've seen it for countless years now, in the seco...

Re: Input on a potential trade reversal

If a trade is made and accepted then there should be no precedent to reverse a trade. But there is always the option of making the exact same trade (in reverse now) and having that accepted. This way both owners agree to a trade that in essence nullifies the initial trade but it follows the same rul...

Re: Excel question?

To sort, first use the mouse to select *all* columns. One way to do so is with the shift key depressed click on the letter label at the top of each column. You would want a column for each item that you might want to sort by. I personally would have a column for: - date - team 1 - player(s)/pick(s)...

Re: Grade Yourself

Drafting B: I spend too much time looking at ADP and not enough time deciding who I WANT on my team. I get distracted easily by the current draft trend and end up jumping on the tail end of a position run just to get in. Trading B-: I understand the values well enough, but I have severe bias towards...

Re: waiting for trade offers while on the clock.

My only gripe is if someone trades for the pick while on the clock and then waits for trade offers. ok that would frustrate me if it happened. trade FOR the pick and then sit trying to trade AWAY the pick?? To answer the original OP. There is no problem with an owner being on the clock and then sta...

Re: DLF Premium League Draft

1.11 Derrick Henry. (RB#4 off the board) I was shocked that he fell this far in the draft. I get that he is polarizing, and his current situation isn't the greatest, but he is a phenomenal talent. I was stuck in a draft for need vs draft for talent situation. I didn't need the RB (I was looking WR ...

Re: Let's talk Brandon Marshall

If you are playing with experienced owners. Brandon Marshall holds the highest trade value right now. His production is stellar, and he has probably 2 years left of WR1 production. Everyone knows this, but no one wants to pay top dollar for a 32 WR. So if you can ship him to a contender for younger ...

Re: IDP Leagues

IDP leagues are a great way to extend your passion for the game. More players on the roster means less chance that one player lights up (Big Ben back to back 6 td games) and your well balanced team gets destroyed. With the right scoring system in place IDP players are just as valuable as WR/RB. (avg...

Re: Do you ever make trades without advice?

A lot of trades get put up in a vacuum. i.e. you don't know the history in the league, or a team need or scoring system. The only time I put a trade up for evaluation is if I legitimately don't know a value, and i'm ready to pull the trigger anyway. If I get a mixed result from the feedback, i'm sti...
