Re: Raider Backfield

I thought Jalen Richard was supposed to be a guy to watch. Did I miss him or did he not play at all? Was held out with a knee injury. He's the one I'm interested in if i want a free slice of this Oakland o-line. Sounded like he had the inside track to the #3 job before he got hurt. Couple of positi...

Re: High upside, cheap running backs

Rookies Smallwood - better athlete than I think is perceived. Has two older backs in front of him one of which never is healthy. Averaged nearly 20 touches a game in college and a great receiver. Pederson prefers backs who are versitle - hand picked by new regime. Offense primarily will run through ...

Re: B. Perriman

Regardless of what anyone thought of Perriman before his second injury, we should definitely feel for the poor kid. I think it looks bad on us to use this as a "I told you so moment". Hate wishing on injuries for guys to prove a point. Looking forward though I agree that it is hard to see ...

Re: Lets talk devy

There is a dedicated devy board: http://forum.dynastyleaguefootball.com/viewforum.php?f=145 But I'll play along: RB Chubb - if healthy clear #1 to me Cook - crazy to say maybe but I think he's underrated in the national eye Fournette - big and powerful but I think he rounds out the first tier Barkle...

Re: B. Perrima

I agree that his value hasn't really changed much. If he's going to break out it'll be most like year 3 rather than year 2. As another poster said his competition for targets could go way down once Smiff retired and they move on from Wallace. On a side note does anyone know of a first or second roun...

Re: 2016 Combine

Tyler Boyd is a curious case. Top 2 devy WR going into last year. Stock dropped heading into draft year. Great production, market share and early breakout age. Then test very mediocre in pretty much every measurable category at the combine. Heard he did well in catching and route running drills - so...

Re: Out on a Limb - Dion Lewis

Agreed that it's too low if we are looking 2-3 years out. They may bring in another bruising back but they seem to really like and trust Lewis. Unless they bring in Forte or draft another pass catching back I don't see why he can't be a backend RB1 to high end RB2.

Re: Who makes 2017 so special?

Its very strong at RB but pretty eh at WR IMO Chubb, Fournette, Cooks all in Zeke/Henry range. I think many of the other '17 backs are better than the RB3 and later of the '16 backs. McCaffrey, Gallman, Perrine, Hood, Freeman, Hurd, Clement, Conner would all be in discussion as RB3 in this class ove...

Re: Kirk Cousins contract news from today

They could always tag him and continue to work out a deal correct? If he does it two years in a row they may think he's worth the money, if not then they could either get him cheaper or move on.

Re: Zach Zenner

Not that anyone is surprised but Joique Bell has been cut. Opens the door a little. Will be interesting to see if they try using Abdullah as the between the tackle back since Theo excels so much in the pass game.

If not there could be an opening for the 2 down back role for Zenner.

Re: Zach Zenner

Was offered Frank Gore and Powell for him in on league and turned it down. Could see him being a nice 2 down guy with upside next season, even if he is more of a stash than anything. His value is probably somewhere around a 3rd if I had to guess.

Re: Early Moves on RBs

Add Ajayi, Matt Jones and maybe Karlos to this list. I'd probably rather be sellers (or hold) than buyers of most of these young backs who appear to have opportunity increase. Especially Langford.

Re: Matt Jones '16 Value

Chris Thompson could limit his upside a bit but volume is king for RBs. If he is a 3 down back I don't think it's the biggest deal that he's inefficient (look at Freeman). He's not a top flight talent by any means but he has a chance of being serviceable next year. Biggest concern is if they bring i...

Re: Your most insane fantasy hunch for 2015

The 30 year cliff for RBs is a real thing. Happens to pretty much every great back. They are amazing the year before and then done. These greats fell off at: LT was 30. Faulk was 28, Walter Peyton 33, Dickerson 29, Campbell 28, Dorset 31, Shaun Alexander 29, Edge 30, Eddie George 30. Emmit Smith is...

It was between Roob and Mattnews for me and went Matthews. That being said curious what opinions on favorable landing spots are? Particularly for those two.
