Re: Scotty Miller

I think you should go back and watch tape on the guy. Already watched the cut-up of two games. The overwhelming majority of snaps were slot. He got rare snaps on the outside, and I'm guessing the percentage is a single digit. In fact he will be playing on the outside in the DJax spot In fact you do...

he prefers playing on the outside
I doubt he's ever said this, but you're welcome to source it.

Re: N'Keal Harry will bust

Everyone separates on a successful double-move. Beware overrating double-moves, btw. We love them in highlights, but there's a reason double-moves are rare, especially in the NFL -- usually the QB doesn't have time to wait for it, and even if he does, double-moves naturally have an imprecise route-s...

Re: Terry Godwin - A name to draft late (or at least watch closely)

Twitter buzz is nuts for Curtis Samuel for some reason. Has been all off-season. Throw in DJ Moore's value certainly not falling, and CMC seemingly a lock for his slated heap of targets, and I dunno how T. Godwin can do anything in Carolina, unless we're all very wrong about one or more other people.

Re: N'Keal Harry will bust

You can clearly see whatever you want to on film; especially in college. Er, no. For example, separation can be objectively measured on paused tape, down to distance. It's there, or it isn't. However, subjective make-believe -- i.e. in this particular context, believing you're seeing something that...

Re: Undervalued RB's to target?

Duke Johnson. Of course it ultimately depends on the given league, but generally speaking his market-value is at an all time low. And yet that could be transformed overnight if and when he's traded to a team that appreciates his analytics and skill-set. In an NFL that is seeing the rise of dual-thre...

Re: Undervalued TEs to target?

How about Mo Alie-Cox Indy? Good measurables, basketball background. Ebron is a FA at the end of the season Worth an end of bench stash. I wish he was a bit faster, but his catch-radius is like woah. But it's tough to tie up a bench spot all season on a TE that will probably never move from there w...

Re: Scotty Miller

Scott Miller's roadblock is that the slot apparently isn't accessible with all this hype that Godwin will be playing the Fitzgerald role for Arians, i.e. he'll live in the slot in 3-wide. The position ostensibly up for grabs in 3-wide is the other outside spot opposite Evans. Not only is Miller obvi...

Re: June Rookie ADP Observations

Even in that format, I would take Hock at 1.9 and cackle about it.

I don't see the Detroit landing spot being a problem. Indeed, that roster needs pass-catchers.

Re: June Rookie ADP Observations

Hock is the best TE prospect since..... OJ Howard. Nope. Better prospect coming out than Howard. Howard played four relatively mundane years at Bama before declaring, and actually regressed a little bit his senior year. It wasn't exactly his fault due to the system there, but bottom line, How...

Re: June Rookie ADP Observations

I almost made JJAW an underrated player in my analysis. Just thought he was going at about the right spot at 15th I'm reluctant to even talk about JJAW. I love his ADP... Fant and Hock are BOTH generational talent?!? Wow, I haven't heard that anywhere. If these guys had a .001% chance at being a ge...

Moncrief’s NFL game speed has been consistently slow. Looks mechanical out there.
No, it hasn't, and no, he doesn't.

Re: Donte Moncrief.

Mark Kaboly of The Athletic reports Moncrief is "a slam dunk" for the no. 2 job. I'd link the article, but Athletic has a paywall. Athletic's writers are usually pretty good. FWIW Kaboly's opinion is derived from watching OTAs/minicamp. Also... https://steelersdepot.com/2019/06/wr-diontae-spencer-se...

Re: San Fran receivers

Deebo has one healthy season of football in the last four years, and is sidelined yet again in minicamp, reportedly with both hip and hamstring issues. And the team wants him to lose ten pounds. Beware. I think the '20 class is a greater threat to Pettis's current #1 role than Deebo. Also, Kendrick ...
