I believe touch count tells you all you need to know in terms of Williams v CEH. I'm guessing that CEH had disproportionately more of the important short yardage carries than Williams, which would also drag his average down. It also wouldn't surprise me to find that a higher proportion of Williams' ...

The league had 23 trades in 2020 and 30 trades in 2019. 11 franchises participated in trades last year...the 12th did 5 trades in 2018 (same owner), so there's no rosters that are just wholly untouchable.
