Re: Best Dynasty Decision You've Ever Made?
I loaded up on picks for the 2014 rookie class. Ended up with Evans, Watkins, Matthews, Hyde, A-Rob, Moncrief, Landry (and, uh, Latimer.) I moved some of these guys since but they are either part of the core or contributed to the core of my current team. And since I missed the biggest regrets thread...

Re: Waiver budget survey for future DLF article
The unknown variables are; when are you doing these trades, your roster, what other picks you have and the players left. E.G. If I had a full complement of picks, I doubt I would buy a 3rd round pick before the drafts starts, and I wouldn't sell the pick I selected for 100% of a WW budget before th...

Waiver budget survey for future DLF article
Hello everyone! My name is Nick and I'm a new to the DLF team. I want to write about how to value rookie picks in terms of FAAB $, but I need your help! Please take 60 seconds to fill out this quick 5-question survey. Answer as many or as few as you like. I hope to use these results to, at the very ...

Re: Is it getting harder to trade these days?
I find that trades are the hardest right before the rookie draft. Many owners don't want to trade picks until they are on the clock, and even when picks are not involved in trade offers, they want to wait until after the draft to see where their team stands. Very frustrating.

Re: Eric Decker
As a Jets fan I was really hoping they would just completely clean house and 'suck for Sam'. I really hope that the GM and coach got fired can't stand those guys. As far as forte apparently he would cost them more if they cut him, another genious signing by Maccagnan. Watch us win one too many game...

Re: Zero Trade Dynasty Strategy?
i got your point, and i think i see the misunderstanding--i was working from the assumption that a "no trade league" would not apply to maneuvering within the drafts, only to mid-season or player trades. so, to my mind, the draft day trading was a similarity between the format and the NFL...

Re: Zero Trade Dynasty Strategy?
There are a ton of draft-day trades in the NFL, and the NFL has free agency whereas (most) FF dynasty leagues don't. Regardless of the topic, comparing fantasy leagues to the actual NFL is usually a losing battle. Tha's why i specifically used the word "non" in front of the words "dr...

Re: Zero Trade Dynasty Strategy?
Pryor WAS available on waivers in most leagues, actually. Also off the top of my head from last year alone we have Dak, Tyrell, Meredith, Montgomery, thielen, jacquizz, Kelley. I'm sure I am missing quite a few. That isn't an abberation, at all. Pryor wasn't available on waivers when he was an NFL ...

Kind of like...the NFL? Remove the Sashi Browns from the equation and non-draft day trades are, relative to other professional sports, vanishingly rare. Most rookie picks will bust. So, you're now tasking someone with hitting on the majority of their picks each year to stay relevant. Kind of like...the NFL? Re: How to Take Down the Powerhouse?
I will disagree with the above posters in that it is always graded on a curve , you don't need the best dynasty team ever you do need to have the best one in your league. Making the best team better rarely is the way to close the gap , I could see rare instances where it is OK to do deals like that...

Beat him to punch and trade with teams he is usually trading with before he can trade with them in the first place. If it's really that easy for him to fleece those teams, it shouldn't be hard for you to do it.

Re: Zero Trade Dynasty Strategy?
Contrary to what many are saying in this thread, removing trades would -decrease- parity. Trades are one of a few avenues for a team to speed up a rebuild. If you remove that avenue, the process will take longer. For example: There's one guy in my league who rarely trades and simply uses waivers and...

Re: Dalvin Cook is a SPARQ turd. Should you be worried?
SPARQ doesn't really work that way. A good SPARQ isn't a guarantee of success, but a bad SPARQ is definitely a bad sign. I believe "negative indicator" is the term.broncohead wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2017 12:09 pm McKinnon was supposed to be a stud didn't people know he had a good sparq?
