In my league you can only keep 30 years NFL experience. I chose to keep as shown below: Andre Johnson (7) B. Marshall (4) Calvin Johnson (3) D. Williams (4) Mendenhall (2) J. Stewart (2) Felix Jones (2) D. Brown (1) Cutler (4) I suppose I could have dropped Stewart (2), Jones (2), and Mendenhall (2)...

Mendenhall has top-5 athletic talent; has shown great ability at a young age (22 now); can catch (middle of last year he took over 3rd-down back role from M.Moore who is a very good pass-catcher); is in a feature-back role on a traditionally run-first team with the size and frame to handle a heavy ...

I don't know why anyone would expect a 70/30 split featuring Jones. You all do realize that Jones has never been the #1 RB in an offense, right? In Arkansas he was second fiddle to McFadden. Last season even though named as the starter (and officially started only 1 game...) was still the #2 behind...

They probably will go out and get something at the RB position, but I think only as protection. It's definitely been more of a learning curve for Mendenhall as opposed to some of his fellow RB draft mates. And he certainly had some stinkers against teams that you thought he'd run all over, but I thi...

I agree with your assessment of Barber Sweetness. The other factor is that Jones does not have the milage that Barber does. The Cowboys front office has already stated that they are concerned with Barber's health as well. He has not finished the last two seasons well at all. So, they are supposedly ...

Rashard Mendenhall

If Roethlisberger can get his head out of his butt and not get suspended, what can we expect to get from Mendenhall since he will be the starter from day one. The owner has also called out head coach, Tomlin, to run the ball more. Is 1,100-1,300 yards and 10-12 Td's realistic. He ran for 1,100/7Td's...

Good for you Steelersfan! I would not have traded DeAngelo Williams for Felix Jones. You definitely make out in that deal. But as far as Jones being second fiddle to McFadden, was Brian Greise better than Tom Brady at Michigan or was Thurman Thomas (very good in his own right) better than Barry Sand...

Sorry if I was vague, but yes Orca, I was saying that at worst case for Jones, is that the Cowboys split carries similar to what the Panthers do. At least, that's what I hope as a Jones owner. And yes, with Romo and the rest of the offense, I think he could be potentially lethal this year if he stay...

Felix Jones

Does anyone know if Felix Jones was injured often at Arkansas? He certainly has the injury tag so far as a pro. He has teased us with his tremendous abilities and I feel he could be a top back if healthy. At worst, I think the Cowboys could use the Panthers approach with a two-headed monster, but wi...

Where there's smoke, there's usually fire KU, but how much I don't know either. A lot of these kids have some issues, but turn out to have great pro careers (R. Moss, T.O., Cris Carter, Warren Sapp, etc). DeSean Jackson had character/work ethic related issues coming out and he's been darn good so fa...

Thanks for the advice guys. I will probably go with Bryant and not be selfish trying to get a top back 1st. Our league is three years old and the way the cap is set up, there are usually older WR's available from year to year (ie. Chad Ochocinco, Steve Smith...) that go in the 1st round. There has n...

Another Top RB versus Bryant Question

OK. I traded Steven Jackson because of his situation/salary cap restrictions (see below) and because I like the upside that all my young backs provide. In return, I received pick 1:2. I currently hold pick 1:2 and 1:7. Andre Johnson (8 years next season) is going to cost me nearly a third of my cap ...
